Same sick burns, same smouldering attitude, now all scaled up in stunning HD: Spyro is bringing the heat like never before in the Spyro™ Reignited Trilogy game collection. Rekindle the fire with the original three games, Spyro™ the Dragon, Spyro™ 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro™: Year of the Dragon. Let's be honest, we all saw this coming. The release date is Sept. 21st according to this, and it's coming to both PS4 and Xbox One as well. No sign of a Nintendo Switch release though (yet). These were childhood favourites of mine, so I'm happy to see them get the N-Sane Trilogy treatment. Feel free to discuss. His mother called my mom and asked if it was okay that they get me a PS1 game and they got me it. Chaise Posted April 7, 2018 Share Posted April 7, 2018 All three of those games were basically my childhood, can't tell you how many hours I spent playing those games and trying to find every last gem and egg to get 100%. This is definitely a must buy for me, just hope they don't find a way to f*ck them up like they've f*cked every other Spyro game for the last 15 or so years lol. I'm pretty sure that much like with the N-Sane Trilogy, some of the characters in the Reginited Trilogy are going to have different voice actors, minus Spyro, of course, who's confirmed to be voiced by Tom Kenny again, like in Spyro 2 and 3. Regardless, I hope that this remake of a beloved PS1 trilogy won't suck. Maybe, like with the N-Sane Trilogy, they're going to release some DLC levels. Perhaps they could add the "Enchanted Forest", the removed level from the poorly recieved Spyro game "Enter the Dragonfly" as a bonus DLC level. That's not what i ws getting at, i was saying how it's funny because i bought a modern next gen console for modern next gen games but i've ended up playing remakes of PS1 games instead. Misumi Posted April 7, 2018 Share Posted April 7, 2018 I loved Spyro when I was younger. But I don't love it enough to get a console to play it. Only game that made me buy a console was Last Of Us. It was worth it, but I promptly sold the PS3 a few days later. Maybe if this game is that good, I'll do it again. You know what I'd prefer is if they did a remake/reboot of Twisted Metal. I know neither were as popular, but anything is possible if that little sh*t Bubsy got a new game. I'm pretty sure that much like with the N-Sane Trilogy, the characters in the Reginited Trilogy are going to have different voice actors. I doubt that either Carlos Alazraqui or Tom Kenny will reprise their roles as Spyro (Carlos in the first game, and Tom in Ripto's Rage! and Year of the Dragon). Actually, they've confirmed that Tom Kenny is reprising his role, even to redo Carlos' lines in the first game. Very glad as well, guy's a really good voice actor. Knowing that I get to play the game again makes me one happy camper. My favorite level was always the Ice Cavern, Blowhard, Wizards Peak, Dark Hallow, Town Square and last Dry Cannon. I also loved Ripto's rage because it was funny to make Ripto angry and pissed off. Legend Of The Dragon was also a great game to play and own as well. I wanna enjoy the games all over again, in a new way! So many levels to look forward to. Haunted Towers, Lofty Castle, Fireworks Factory, Badlands. Even the home worlds like Dream Weavers, Winter Tundra! Oh mannnn. TfB stated that they heard a lot of criticism from Crash, and said the biggest things they noticed was that fans are super passionate about controls. So they said a large part of development for them was making sure Spyro felt right, while also adding some modern flare (like right thumbstick for camera controls.) I'm very excited for this as you can see. The developers Toys For Bob stated that they're going to get as many of the original voice actors as they can to reprise their role. I believe the two confirmed are Tom Kenny (Who's gonna do Spyro in all 3 games), and Hunter's voice actor (can't think of his name off the top of my head) so I'm excited to see who else reprises their roles.
