Vivendi trying to buy Ubisoft recently. it seems that in the end Ubisoft won. Vivendi recently announced its gonna sell all its shares in Ubisoft. i'm glad. i mean the Guillemot family built that company, and they released fantastic games these years. Static Posted April 6, 2018 Share Posted April 6, 2018 I wouldn't really say they're "independent" by any means, but they definitely better off without Vivendi in the picture. Chinese megacorporation Tencent, which owns bits and pieces of many Western games companies, will buy a much smaller stake in Ubisoft and work with the company to expand its reach within China.
