I've noticed an increase in modders after the ban wave ironically, and I don't even play in public sessions...

That would not surprise me one bit. R* have been cheating legit players with unjustified money wipes and bans at least since August last year. And when those players call it quits or come back as modders since it apparently does not matter anyway you end up with a higher percentage of modders per session. R* are gloriously f***ing themselves up along with their playerbase and they are too stupid or apathetic to realise it, because they do not communicate with said playerbase.

 

Yeah, my friend leocanetti (a PS3 buddy) already experienced this on LG. Just file a ticket, R* will clear it up for you, same goes for level and money (I've submitted multiple level tickets myself as I do still play on LG for fun, it usually takes 2 to 6 hours to clear up).

I would be very, very cautious about the support removing modded money. There are cases where money removed by R* support was removed again by their fabulous "anti-cheat" module during the next wave of money wipes (and again when that money was given back by the support). And yes, this can result in a ban if you do not have enough money to pay up.

Yes, I had an issue with special t-shirt not being awarded. They had some problems so I had to wait for 3 months... but they gave me a compensation for that. Description why I got such compensation and not another was very specific and required a lot of knowledge about my style, my in game possessions etc. (and ofc it started with "I see you don't have..."). I also got money which and they confirmed my prior and new account balance. There were many more details, and it always happen. They know everything that is saved to cloud. They can check everything you can check, and more (with dates).

 

As for the situation you linked, that guy clearly said "modder", which means that if he is affected, he has to have those "mods" too. I would ban him right away. I had a lot of situations when a cheater took or gave me money. While I had trouble with them removing the unfair money, I didn't have problems with them restoring stolen $. And while I doubt they would ignore him because of insane wording, I very much suspect he should just ask for another support person or higher tier because that one was lazy.

Rockstar did answer me again, they confirmed they have logs of my character since I asked them to put me lvl 120 and here's what they answered :

And sorry if I used incorrectly the word "modder", I know all too well that modders arn't all cheaters since I mod too on single player. But a modder in online mod is equal to a cheater nonetheless.

I tested fiveM and while it as its perks and is amazing on its own way, it will never replace GTA:Online. It's just a different approach to playing online in GTA but they don't have the sames activities as GTA:O.

Whereas R* banning process is automated, is prone to ban people who didn't cheat ever before, and can't even be questioned.

 

So yeah, how's their atitude worse, again?

Good tip for PC players, but since the anti-cheat no longer functions on LG, it's perfectly safe to remove modded money (why would you want to though, since you can keep it and nobody gives a sh*t).

It's utter sh*t of course that R* does nothing about mods (i'd prefer a proper fix for cheats over more DLC!), but on the other hand:

 

If they'd offer me 200 million to go and sit in bad sports for the rest of my GTA days i think i'd take their offer.

With the current prices for everything, even the most basic cars require you to grind for days.

Regarding the money, we're seeing that it's been on the account for awhile now so unfortunately we have to leave it up to the routine sweeps to correct it. These sweeps are based on examination of suspicious gameplay statistics and manually-reviewed evidence submitted by the Community. If you have not engaged in any cheating, you do not need to worry about getting suspended or banned. However, we may remove the illegitimately gained funds during one of our sweeps.

At this point we're going to escalate your case so that your bad sport pool stats can be reviewed. Please note that this department handles tickets in the order that they're received, so it may take a little bit of time to get a response again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

I'm happy that they agreed with lowering my level, should have asked for even lower x)
But seems like they cannot remove money for no reason but looks like I don't have to worry with money related ban.
But the fact that they cannot lift bad sport on this support tier is worrying since I'm not the only one having this problem, it might take lot of time...

All in all, if you arn't talking about ban with R* support, I think they are quite alright.

GTA Online is one of the few games in my opinion where the xbox one and playstation 4 version are actually better to play, i cannot stand hackers and modders, i had a lot of bad experiences in my time on the xbox 360 and i dont want to be put in those situations again.

pc only again...ugh how many times now has only pc been affected? Master race my ass. GTA PC players must have the patience of a saint or are just too stubborn to realize PC is the wrong platform to even bother with trying to play GTAO.

 

Stick to SP pc people for mods. GTA Online isn't meant for your master race apparently not even R* thinks so.

Like I said somewhere else, if only rockstar used the time we waited for PC release to correctly separate GTA:O from GTA 5 we wouldn't be here today.
Cheaters can just copy mod menu for solo and add some anti detection feature and they are good to go.
I hope they will learn from this for GTA 6 because there's no way I buy a console for games.

Problem is that I don't live in USA and I wanted to have my lvl changed too.

Already waited a week so that the banwave issue clear itself, can wait again for this to be solved too.

 

I bought few month ago a PS4 controller since the PS1 was the only console I ever had and testing it right now in GTA 5, I'm really not ready for a switch to console games x)

whole account and I didn't notice at first but they had also raised the level of my second character without me even playing on it.

it force you to play on badsport lobby, be it freeroam, races, heist... Like a secondary server.

I'm not sure about the override they placed and why they can't do that to all GTA 5 players but I'm happy that they where able to free me from this bad sport lobby.

 

Despite lots of ppl saying R* sucks, I think they where quite prompt to correct my issue. I had three different R* support members on different tiers treating it and they constantly told me what they where doing.
I really think that the problem is when it comes to ban because they are trained to say that bans are finals.
Not the worst experience I had with a support team.

You are also comparing the attitude or "Business model" (or whatever Rockstar wants to call it) of a company to that of a single person.

This is easy to fix by submitting a ticket.

It's not funny or useful.

It is funny for fat kids and nerds who bought that menu. And they are not made to contribute legit players anyway.

 

I guess there's many ingame mechanics for fu**ing up players that are not respected in this forum. But this is way too much. I can grief tryhards and aggressive players but i'd never think on "banning" another player with a mod menu. It isn't a useful way to exploit the game.
