Rockstar's approach to event weeks is a little bit like Google Translate - you'll always get a result regardless of what you type into it, even if that result is complete nonsense.


Unfortunately, this is a rather nonsense event week.


The Caracara is pretty pointless because there are already better and more affordable alternatives, and the new 'Target Assault' mode, well... I couldn't even find enough players to get started, so did something else instead.

A bit off topic but heres the possible drip feed schedule: (Dates may be incorrect)

 

10th of April: Issi Classic, Flash GT, Sea Sparrow Chopper.

 

17th of April: Tyrant, Dominator GTX.

 

24th of April: Cheburek, Jester Classic, Michelli GT.

 

1st of May: Target Assault Race Creator.

 

8th of May: Race Creator with Deluxo, Stormberg, Thruster.

 

15th of May: Vespucci Job Adversary Mode.

 

22nd of May: Trap Door Adversary Mode.

 

29th of May: New Transform Races

Alright, the new AM Race whatever it wants to be is actually pretty fun.

 

Bought the Barrage, having some fun with that.

 

Will buy the Caracara whenever it goes on sale, but right now it is way too much for way too little.

Lmao. My thoughts exactly when I first watched the trailer.

After last weeks haul, I'm good.

 

Got all that's on offer, but that's no biggie as most of mine were cheap too, lol. The truck looks Ok. No room, but without an option to remove the gun, it's not one I'm keen on. (Though, if I had no limits on space or it had a specific spot like special vehicles in the I/E w/h, probably would nab it up on a sale). These new races don't overly appeal, but I'll certainly give 'em a go and see for myself. sh*ts and giggles, lol.

 

Otherwise, business as usual. :)

Funny you mention removing the gun because I would have actually considered purchasing it if removing the gun were an option.

Does he own them on one character and not another?. That'd certainly do it, lol. Maybe to upgrade it a bit too could be a reason for texts?. (I'm not sure about this part myself though).

TopTip - don't pull the left trigger to aim when playing Target Assault, just use the right. Faster aiming/bigger picture.

I still use left bumper for zoom, but I quickly learned that you should just hold down fire instead of trying to line up and nail every bullseye.

I really hate how Target Assault has it's own category, another BS mode I have to scroll by in my phone to get to Heists, Contact Missions, SPV Missions, & MOC Missions.

 

Ironically during several On Call searches I made during CMs this evening, it tossed me in Target Assault lobbies.

F*ck you R*, seriously..... keep your new sh*tty game mode in it's own search parameters.

So for you it has a category via phone > on call? I double checked mine yesterday and there was definitely nothing there. Ps4.

So, i'm looking at buying an avenger, just a few QQ's...

 

1: Can the Avenger transport vehicles?

 

2: Does buying the vehicle or weapon workshops negate the ability to transport vehicles?

1. Sort of.

2. No.

 

It doesn't have vehicle storage like the moc does. But if you purchase the mod shop, you can put a vehicle in there (one that gets modded in the moc/Avenger eg most weaponised vehicles) and then fly it around the map in the back of the Avenger.

Also: "On May 1st, dodge underwater mines, glide over scenic raceways and boost through air gates as you take on 10 unique new Special Vehicle Races featuring the Deluxo, Stromberg and Thruster"

Yeah, I was thinking about that quote when I was typing this. Thats why I said Dates may be incorrect. Im just going by Fun2s tweet. The format of the tweet makes it look like this is the schedule. Well just have to wait and see.

You should be able to edit posts if you tap on the post in question?

 

 

It seems you can hide jobs from on call via the interaction menu. I thought this setting only applied to blips on the map.

And many time noob who no have custom want play as driver. Well this is where it seems to be broken. Logically if one of the team has a custom, it should be an option regardless of who the driver is. But I seemed to experience instances where I couldn't use mine or their custom, even though I was the driver. Another instance showed their custom and not mine even though I was the driver.
