I like this new mode, so far, may get boring quickly.

 

There's no way this isn't an advesery mode. There are other advesery modes that are races too. There's seven of these like most adveserys. So for some reason they have classed this as a new mode?

 

Not sure if custom vehicles function always works either. Sometimes it was on but I couldn't select my vehicle.

You can create your own Target Assault Races, the creator update is disabled for now.

I took my Caracara up to Paleto bay to get a Dozer to try and remove the attached gun with nothing but brute force. I mean, I knew it wouldn't work but I had to try it anyway because (1) I needed some kind of reason to drive it; and (2) it just looks ridiculous with the gun attached. As expected, didn't work, so I guess it'll just sit in my "weaponized vehicles" garage on Character 2 until I find a reason to drive it.

 

The new Target Assault thing is alright, nothing special, and it causes me too much frustration

To everyone who's considering getting a Caracara, don't. You can get a Barrage and pimp it for the price of stock Caracara if you already have an Insurgent Pick-up custom. If you don't just get it and forget about both of these unless you want some variety, money to burn or really into looks. Damn, even Turreted limo is better than this thing because you can spam it over CEO menu.

Double $/RP on contact missions was last March, maybe April. I created my female character last March and I remember her going up something like 70 ranks during those 2 weeks.

 

17 million made.

 

We are overdue for that event again.

 

I've been on PS4 since October 2016 and never got a chance at double $/RP on VIP missions. That would be fun.

Yeah, this is what I don't get. The mode is a bit of a race and an advesery, but so are other adveserys. There isn't an option (no category) in the quick jobs via phone, so no way to join one on call? Which makes me think they made the decision after TA had been made. Strange

As someone who since the game's launch plays alot of co-operative modes with friends, crews, & randoms, I welcome the Caracara.

It's essentially a more modern Technical, & we haven't had this turret on a weaponized vehicle since the Karin Technical during the original Heists.

So yeah, getting another turreted vehicle, thank got it's not a mandatory Insurgent/Barrage styled 50 cal or mini-gun again, those have been used way too much.

 

My only despise of it, is the upgrade of course being the crappy mini-gun, would've been preferred having the Barrage grenade launcher as an upgrade.

Also, this should've been priced down to the 1 million range at most, 1.7 is a little too high.

 

HOWEVER what nobody is considering is that the vehicle may have future upgrades/mods coming at some point, thus the current price.

So a worse looking Dubsta 6x6 that's 7 f*cking times the price of one but has a rear mounted machine gun like a thousand other vehicles have?

 

 

Actually the standard 50 cal model & mini-gun models have been way overused (Insurgent, Barrage, Khanjali, etc).

Machine gun turret wise, this one has only been used on one other weaponized vehicle.

The real crime is that the upgrade is just the sh*tty mini-gun again, seems to be R*'s go-to for an overpriced upgrade.

Seems like Rockstar is just throwing crap at the wall, and seeing what sticks. This new race mode looks like a mashup of Crapersary Modes, and Racing. Can't imagine too many people do these after the 2x event.

Same thing we had for 2 weeks after the last 2x Bunker event week.

It's nothing new that R* dishes up sloppy seconds level game modes.

It's just the fact that they squeeze in a good 2x now & then sometimes, which amplifies the feeling of how much most of the event weeks suck.

1: Can the Avenger transport vehicles?

 

2: Does buying the vehicle or weapon workshops negate the ability to transport vehicles?

I was so hyped when I first red about the new mode. Finally I Could race with my buddy, who hates Racing. Then I realized that You dont need to be quick, so no racing for me. Then I read about switching Roles every lap which destroys my dreams of a happy team mode for me and my buddy

It doesn't have vehicle storage like the moc does. But if you purchase the mod shop, you can put a vehicle in there (one that gets modded in the moc/Avenger eg most weaponised vehicles) and then fly it around the map in the back of the Avenger.

Yeah, I can edit posts but for some reason when I post on my phone apostrophes never show up.
