NEW MODE: TARGET ASSAULT RACES

The Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series races on with a brand new mode. Attention all wheelmen and gunners - its time to team up and test your chemistry in a brand new race mode, pitting speed vs precision in a fight for first place.

In Target Assault Races, now available to play in GTA Online, teams of two strap into a range of weaponized vehicles - one behind the wheel, and the other on the trigger. The Gunner is responsible for destroying targets from a mounted gun, while the Driver races to outmanoeuvre the opposition for additional points on each lap. After each lap the Gunner and the Driver switch roles, and whichever team finishes with the most points wins.
Finishing laps in the top three and passing through Checkpoints ahead of your opponents will earn you bonus points, but accuracy is the name of the game here. You'll score more points for smaller targets, and even more for hitting them dead center. Scatter-shooters may feast on large green targets, but if you're racking up bullseyes on the elusive small red target, you'll soon eclipse them on the leaderboard.

As the Driver, play to your teammate's strengths if your Gunner's on a streak, ease up on the throttle and let them rip through a few more targets before rushing to the next Checkpoint.

Target Assault Races are available to play today in GTA Online, with seven unique tracks featuring an assortment of assault-minded vehicles, including the new Vapid Caracara. Jump into the Target Assault Series blip on the map and earn Double GTA$ and RP all week long.
NEW VEHICLE: THE VAPID CARACARA


When it comes to barreling through traffic while your buddy rips through foes with a rear-mounted Minigun, it doesn't get much bigger than the Vapid Caracara. Pick up the Vapid Caracara today exclusively from Warstock Cache & Carry and take it for a spin in the new Target Assault mode.

I would have rather seen double money and rp on missions than the entirety of these uninteresting race dlc and more boring adversary modes that the majority of the gta community despise.They could have skipped the next few months until they can put out a REAL dlc that we want.Just give us double money and rp on missions, a different business each week and stop with the broken, expensive cars and no new garage space to store them in.

I think this new target race mode looks really interesting and I'm looking forward to checking it out. Am I right in thinking it is an adversary mode and not classed as a traditional race so our racing win loss record won't be effected?

After last weeks haul, I'm good.

 

Got all that's on offer, but that's no biggie as most of mine were cheap too, lol. The truck looks Ok. No room, but without an option to remove the gun, it's not one I'm keen on. (Though, if I had no limits on space or it had a specific spot like special vehicles in the I/E w/h, probably would nab it up on a sale). These new races don't overly appeal, but I'll certainly give 'em a go and see for myself. sh*ts and giggles, lol.

The only good thing about this week is that I'm away for most of it, so selfishly quite glad it's a bit lame.

 

I would have been royally p155ed off if it had been DD Heists x2 when I'll be out of the country. They ought to save that not just for me but when they've finished reinstating all the people who are still unjustly banned.

 

Got to wonder why the keep putting the same crap on discount though. If people haven't bought it yet they are not going to. Perhaps they are disappointed in how little the Avenger has been used to troll people so far.
