I wonder if the volleyball nets and the train are each others kryptonite?

The true immovable object versus the unstoppable force scenario.

Not my video, but still a classic!

Im at the office right now but that vid doesnt happen to have a modded volleyball net placed in the trains way does it?

We must find a smart forum member to test this out. A question as old as time.

I am horrid at PVP combat. I'm at least fair at everything else. I'm pretty good behind the wheel. I'm a decent pilot. I'm fine with PVE. Not the greatest at any of this, but I manage well enough. But PVP? I SUCK. It's much of the reason I don't go around looking for fights. And when pressured, I tend to turn tail and run instead of engage. So if you see me actively engaging another player, chances are good that player did something that REALLY pissed me off.

There's no need to test that, the train would simply pass through the volleyball net.

That's usually what happens in the GTA games when a train collides with something that is immovable, like a building.

I'm hopeless at anything involving weapons. PvP, PvE, throwing a snowball at a traffic cone... If there's some way for me to foul up, I'll find it or invent some new way of being trash.

Also control of anything with less than four wheels (not counting aircraft / boats).

You know, there's a whole line of SIMs games out there... lol! Just kidding!

I'm a total badass until I'm actually engaged. Then I realize how lousy I am at this game.

Not always, but most of the time! You're not alone. ;)

Can't handle it!

I'm not that good at sniping... pretty terrible in fact. Annoyingly enough it's a pretty large part of any PvP battles, it seems.

Also, explosive spam, f*ck that. Not gonna wast my money, nor fight you "fair" if you spam RPG and grenades at me.

Any PvP action, pretty much.

Just trying to complete my Headhunter mission in my Akula and some guy butted in for no reason at all in a Buzzard, so I blasted him.

Then he starts the sideways jig with a roll in the middle. Really?

I end up on a rooftop (hit the stupid F key while going for the G to lower my landing gear...AGAIN!) and he respawns down the street.

Dude's a block away, and while I'm fumbling with the stupid weapon wheel which just decided to rotate instead of giving me an aiming zoom, leaving me holding a grenade instead of an AR, jiggy snipes me off the top of a building with only my head and shoulders above the wall while still in his 'combat dance'.

The guy's either a really, really good shot with expensive gear (at level 52?), or has assisted aim and lots of shooter practice.

Either way, I'm not playing that game.

There's many better ways to spend my game time.

It is somewhat comforting to see that many others suck at PvP.

We should probably have no PvP sessions available.

Then again, tryhards probably don't want to kill each other...

Frame Rate Drops and LAG when there's allot of player and police activity at the same time in free roam.

Silly peer-to-peer. RDR3, better have Dedicated Servers.

Ground PVP tryhard edition

I've learned how to survive the regular way thanks to years of playing deathmatches but spamming explosives and marksman wiggling? I always have to get the f*ck out of there ASAP.

My social skills. Even in the virtual world, I have trouble socializing with people and making friends. It's hard for me to form or maintain crews.

I wonder how the After Hours DLC might affect this?

I have no problem meeting people and making friends in real life, but online, I tend to be a lone wolf.

Curious to see what happens with this and how it changes things for my game. ;)

PvP

I´m bad at this stuff. Griefers and tryhards ...

i would like to play the game like its real and that does not involve killing yourself with an explosive everytime i kill the other guy ^^

Even if i would tryhard i´m still not good at shooting and therefore everybody has aim-assist i lose !

The game itself, no problems. It's only when I come across a sweaty player that I feel like I suck at the game.

Still my overall kryptonite is my almost mortal fear of hackers.

I don't mind the "toilet-chasing-after-you" jesters, and whoever needs to boost his stats by cheating, it's not my business. Those are minor inconveniences, I don't understand them, but I don't mind. R* shall deal with them.

But people being able to ruin my account, that's scaring me out of public.

But maybe that's just me conveniently hiding behind a technical issue.

Being, as High Functioning Autist, in a similar situation, I can answer this, from my corner at least:

For me, the nightclub is a great treat, but it comes bittersweet.

As many of "us introverts", I love virtual worlds for the promises they offer of somehow aligning my secluded islands of imagination with the "world outside", and the nightclubs are a great addition to that.

And I want to say that I've long accepted that I'm more of the loner type, having few (but great) contacts, really; I met amazing people, on this forum, too, by being me, evidently, so it's ok; I am who I am, which includes having little in common with most people.

But of course there are moments when you doubt your confidence, I think that goes for every piece of mindset, and thus there are moments when I'm not ok with being lone wolf.

In those moments my nightclub increases my yearning for a socially more "normal" life, and thus increases the pain of not being able to. But it "changes" nothing. The fears keeping me from interacting, are the same, after all

In the forums I read that in freemode indeed people are having cool experiences with "randoms" coming into their clubs and just having a good time together. Should this last, R* has truly created something amazing here, and I wish I could be part of that.

Yet the same happened with Yachts. For a while, people were happily jumping into each other's whirlpools, but the griefing game took over soon enough.

Nevertheless, closed lobbies and good old-fashioned mission play have been receiving a surprising amount of attention by R*, lately, and on the long run, I'm curious whether nightclubs might inspire a new focus on social crew building, particularly on these forums, where people have more time building up trusty relationships with other forum members.

PvP, like so many in this thread.

Wasting time with wiggle-rolling suicide fanatics in tacticool gear and dumb edgelord masks never really appealed to me

Ground PvP used to be kryptonite for me but over the last year or so I've grown to accept and enjoy it for the chaos that it is. It isn't likely to ever be majorly rebalanced/reworked, so I decided to just embrace it. Every cheesy tactic has cheesy counters, and I guess we just each decide how much cheese we're willing to eat. Personally I'm down with wiggle sniping, explosive spam, OTR, BST, vehicles, uneven teams, bulletproof helmets. I draw the line at suicide spam, so if a fight devolves into that territory, I just walk away, either literally or find a new session. It isn't perfect and there's plenty I would change for my own hypothetical private GTAO PvP server but at the very least, its unique, and I'll take a unique mess over a perfectly executed more-of-the-same shooter any day.

Same here, after getting killed with the marksman many times I started using it in first person and changed my controls to fps 2. I will admit to get good I went looking for red dots and died a lot but now I can hold my own with the marksman wiggle and free aim special carbine and it feels good.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's terrible at PvP.

I try to make up for it with expensive toys (Hydra, Oppressor, Explosive Sniper, Minigun) but I still usually get my ass handed to me. 😅

My game is solid af. That being said, i have a hard time with the muscle class. They all seem to under-steer and i end up getting on the gas too hard and fishtail. Most cars in this class fail miserably at collisions with me as the driver.

I'm pretty awesome at this game despite this shortcoming.

PvP no questions asked, usually get my ass handed to me easily, so I avoid it as best as I can.

I'd say decent at PvE and almost everything else.

That's why I love cars like that, it's a big challenge to get where you're going and not end up pointing the wrong way, upside down in a river, waiting for that MMI insurance notification.

Learning to drive each car, and the art of banking off things: walls, guardrails, other cars, etc. is a lot of fun.

I'm not sure R* understands the difference between over- and understeer. The Swinger (XJ13) oversteers IRL (like the Obey 9f), but severely understeers at anything but slow speeds in game.

Still a bunch of fun to drive, since you can't just mash the throttle and point it where you want to go.

My kryptonite is still PvP, but mainly because of assisted aim bullspit, I'm realizing.

Most of these goobers can't free aim for spit.

What's worse is when you get your butt handed to you in a PvP against an AFK player... which believe it or not, has happened to me (when the guy suddenly woke up and waxed me like a piece of fruit!). ;)

My Kryptonite is a Hydra/Lazer Griefer in the desert, if there is no cover at all. If the pilot is really good, it's very frustrating, especially if your in a mission and can't activate passive mode.
