damienrayemusic
Hello outlaws, fine day we are having isnt it? While we are still stuck in this drought from hell, I would like to get more positivity going again and ask yourself "what was my favorite thing that comes to mind from RDR as well as my favorite quote that stuck with me?" I think this is an interesting topic and I'd love to hear yours. I will start off with my favorite quote coming from John Marston when he says "People don't forget, nothing gets forgiven.." and memories I have so many but I have to say the moment when Irish and John get off the raft, John finds out that Bill isn't at fort mercer, and as a lot of you know it, Far Away starts playing as he rides to mexico.. never have i been so emotionally invested in a game/character as I was RDR and John Marston. 1898 and VigMarston

Holland_Hicks
Bandito: Can I see the boots, gringo? John: I think you can see them from where you're standing just fine, senor. Bandito: Take off the boots, Americano! John: As you wish. [John kneels down to take off his boots, but instead, raises his revolver and proceeds to murder the three banditos in cold blood.] Such a badass moment. And it was hilarious when they took his hat then after all this john and landon ricketts go to that table and that dumb f*ck that accuses john of cheating starts freaking out
SuperKitsune
"Don't be too eager to grow up. It ain't as much fun as it looks" And John was right...things only get more complicated as you grow up. 1898
The opening scene and music score followed by John's first appearence. It was my first video game in 20+ years and I remember thinking "this might be pretty good". Short time later I was hooked, loved it. Cozzi
the quote from my sig, the "some men are rich enough and dumb enough to enjoy their lives, ain't nothing fair, you know that." also Dutch's last words really hit the nail on the head for the theme of the entire game. and, as for memories, heading into mexico. according to general chat a lot of people f*cked that up by getting of of their horse or riding too fast. lol. yall need to get out of gaming and grinding mode and relax. damienrayemusic
Finally finding that f*cking unicorn in Undead Nightmare lol. that took forever The opening scene and music score followed by John's first appearence. It was my first video game in 20+ years and I remember thinking "this might be pretty good". Short time later I was hooked, loved it. man that part was so beautiful. I get chills just thinking about it. When i first played the game when i was younger, i skipped cutscenes and never cared much. Now everygame i play i watch every cutscene/intro, and i even sit through the credits!! RDR opening was so damn beautiful and even epic.. that epic cowbell/western sounds too once rockstar san diego pops up on screen... man i hope RDR2 like all r* games so far, have an EPIC intro. Not even action packed, just epic as in the music and scenery/presentation of the whole rockstar games presents... Red Dead Redemption 2!! Lol the quote from my sig, the "some men are rich enough and dumb enough to enjoy their lives, ain't nothing fair, you know that." also Dutch's last words really hit the nail on the head for the theme of the entire game. and, as for memories, heading into mexico. according to general chat a lot of people f*cked that up by getting of of their horse or riding too fast. lol. yall need to get out of gaming and grinding mode and relax. yeesss. That and the "they will just find another monster" & i missed it when i was younger because back then i never realized how important the cutscenes and transitions were, but after replaying it millions of times every single year, i saw all cutscenes and also took my time on that part.. that was just phenomenal. Especially when you truly feel for john at this point. Which not all games actually cause you to care for your character as if they were your real friend... john marston was that to me. Cozzi
yeah^ and such a sad story, really, and i like sad endings, but you know in another life dutch would've been a great general or leader. john too. theres nothing but wasted potential in some of those guys. Except Bill... lol. Maybe RDR2 changes that but bill just seems like a crazy pirate to me lol Edited April 2, 2018 by Cozzi 1898 and damienrayemusic
damienrayemusic
This makes me think, if that rumor is true about john being playable at the very end.. honestly, i wont be mad at all. I bet i will love arthur too but man after john dying to play as someone else, if arthur dies too:/ itd make total sense to be playing as john.. as reference to the last game and all. And if you dont want the main character to die, just dont play the last mission yet. Make a seperate save to f*ck around with lol
joshua969
Hard to pick but just one, but.. "We can't always fight nature, John. We can't fight change. We can't fight gravity. We can't fight nothing. My whole life, all I ever did was fight." One of my best memories was the first time I found myself just wandering around the wilderness. The full moon, the scenery, Born Unto Trouble playing in the background, coyotes howling, etc. I never felt so immersed in game in my life. The Assualt on Fort Mercer was such a cool showpiece mission and felt like such a proper conclusion for Act 1. Popping out of that wagon with the machine gun was so much fun.
