The host was so hilariously clueless and all the interviews such car crashes that it still makes me laugh even all these years later. The scripting is razor sharp, especially in the interview with the Steve Irwin parody Mr. Zoo: CALLER: That's Pat Flannerdy? MR. ZOO: G'day. Of course it is. CALLER: And you're in Vice City? MR. ZOO: Yeah... CALLER: (Awkward pause) What are you doing there? MR. ZOO: Promoting animals, mate. CALLER: Don't you remember the court case?! Just the script, the voice acting, it's all so well done. Part of me wishes Amy returned, but considering what they did to Lazlow after Grand Theft Auto III, I'm kind of happy that her character stands as it is, and hasn't been made completely outlandish and zany. I can't tell you how much time I've spent on that game just listening to the chat stations and driving around. I feel this way about Maurice Chavez. While I think that he could have come back and been something like the Geraldo Rivera of the GTA world, maybe it's best that he's made only two appearances (both of which were great). K-Chat was a pretty good talk station as well, and no doubt overlooked compared to VCPR. I notice that the writing for the talk radio in VC is more sharp, witty and generally more humorous without trying too hard compared to other GTAs. Non Stop Pop's 80s and 90s tracks should have really been their own separate "classic pop hits" station. The more modern tracks ranged from being decent to being the same repetitive sh*t they play at clothing stores.
