don't know whether this been shared, here are the steps

1 start special cargo mission drive to the place and find 3 separate crates which can not be collected at one time;

2 call avenger to the near location

3collect one crate and enter the back of avenger

4 walk to the weapon workshop press right on dpad/E to drop the crates

5 leave out and collect the second crates

repeat step 4

*if you the blue circle disappear ,kill yourself and try another crates*

6 collect the 3rd one and drive back to your ware house

Woah ...

This is basically the holy grail of crate grinding. Back in the day I was doing all sorts of experiments to find a way to do this.

Will definitely have to give this a go.

Happy Hunter

I can confirm it worked for me.

The crates appeared on the map (my map at least) as being on Chiliad too - that could be used to fool other players. I also tried sending the Avenger back at the end (so I didn't have to go in and out of it to remove the crates) but they stayed in there. Luckily when I called it again though, the crates were still inside.

I'm not sure just how much time it saves - sometimes the crates are spread around a bit (typically if you've had to shoot down a few helicopters to gt them), and sometimes the loading's slower than usual. But it has to be at least a bit faster. If nothing else, it's less monotonous than going back and forth and back and forth.

I got it on video, but whoever found this should get first dibs on uploading something. Where did you find this OP?

I'll give the MOC a try.

Don't waste your time.

Some extra facts:

- It doesn't work with MOC

- It doesn't work with the Gunrunning supplies (only the CEO crates will do)

- It doesn't work with the Hostile Takeover crate (tested just for lulz)

- You can't go inside the Avenger with the first crate you picked, you can store the rest 2 crates and deliver the first one in the cockpit. Suiciding allows you to drop the crate

- Like the Hunter said, if the Avenger gets destroyed, crates WILL BE safe, unless players are using wallbreaches to destroy them - they are located under the Mount Chilliad in your facility

I've got the video as well, i'm assuming skyfamster is the original founder, since Google doesn't give me any extra results (both the text and the picture)

PS

It's definitely a time saver.

and sometimes the loading's slower than usual

The loading time depends on other players in the session, it won't be a problem for people that grind in solo lobbies.

If the Avenger loading is slower, the warehouse loading shouldn't be fast as well.

Even though I like using my deluxo, this'll be very useful for when I get that annoying ass sea mission.

That sounds awesome. I hope it won't get patched.

From my experience on PC (and that bunker glitch that lets you see other players inside) I know that all interiors are shared.

That might mean that those crates are in all avengers in that lobby, at the same time. Just trowing that out there, someone should check that out.

Even if that so, they still won't be able to pick (outside of the organization) or destroy the crates (no weapons available)

Yep, I saw it by myself yesterday. You can't enter the MOC when holding crates.

Thanks for the tips :^:

The main reason I avoid 3 crate pickups when solo is the sheer annoyance factor of multi-part missions. Its either a monotonous relay or money down the drain as somebody torches your unattended product. There are some way around it, but this beats them all by a mile!! Suddenly so glad I bought an Avenger.

Not sure if Avanger trick saves much time, delivering crates with buzzard skillz is fast enough and somewhat enjoyable experience. Or you can always blow up two crates, if distance is too long.

^ Akula was made for these missions too, many flying broomsticks and DeBoreans™ have felt my wrath as I headed back to my crates and caught them on the way there too.

But yeah, I'm buying 3 at a time now :D

This'll help many, lol. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Yeah, only silly folk pay $18k for a single crate. (Excluding special items, naturally).

Map's too small for so many as it is, lol.

You srsly advancing flying back and forth 3 times or blowing up two crates instead of using Avenger? -.-

In a thread like this?

Wheres the logic?

IT seems one of the crates when split contains Anti-Avenger residue on it and the Avenger does not want it inside it. That specific crate will make the blue corona disappear when you're carrying it so when that happens, kill yourself and pick up another crate.

Yes, because this avenger trick takes time too and sounds boring to perform.

Yellow Dog with Cone

It really works!

Why this is a glitch instead of a feature is beyond me

Sure it might not always be much quicker than just making multiple trips, but its no less boring and in certain situations it can save you heaps of time. I'm happy to have on more option 'cause there's no way in hell I'm purposely nuking crates.

No. Just no.

1) Avenger is faster than the buzzard

(I was doing it with the Hydra back in the days when I was grinding though)

2) Buzzard / Hydra requires landings and taking offs. With the Avenger it's just a single take off and single landing.

3) Avenger can spawn pretty much close to the crates

4) Not all players grind in solo sessions, you know. The Avenger makes it safer.

I would say, once you practice the method, it becomes faster. It usually took me 10-15 minutes to pick and deliver crates in a Hydra. With the Avenger, you should rarely exceed 10 min

It depends on the distance. There are cases when you can get the 3 crates pretty close to the warehouse (One time the 3 Froggers were nice enough to fly towards one of my warehouses!)

But most of the time, Avenger will be quicker. It's tricky to get the crate to drop in the right place or you keep picking it up again.

Chumash take out the Valkyrie when your warehouse is in cypress flats. This helps so much!

This trick works and can probably save you a few minutes if the crates are far from your warehouse....never understand why this type of thing needs to be a trick or glitch instead of a proper game feature...

  • 2 months later...

I tried this the other day and it didn't work for all 3 crates.

I managed to get the first in then when I came back to the avenger with the 2nd crate, the blue circle to get into the hold was not there. Nor could i go in to the the hold from the cockpit.

Tried it multiple times and I could only manage 1 on me in the cockpit and 1 in the hold. Had to come back and get the 3rd.

Anyone still using this method or was it a glitched session? (if such a thing)
