FiveM, the hardcore session GTAO lacks off.

Have any of you guys heard/played FiveM ? The separated GTA RP servers that have interesting settings that would add a good depth if implemented on official GTAO, like cars having fuel and needing to refuel in gas stations, deaths are only ressurect by Paramedics (this could be changed to Hospital respawn becayse GTAO is chaos anyway), cats, dogs, mountain lions, cows and all the other single player animals, and the most FUN thing, player blips don't show up on the radar, so you can play low profile all the way without needing off radar options.

I wonder, if R* would any day add a DLC or a hardcore server with that settings, I bet a good portion of the playerbase would play on those for a more serious/realistic gameplay.

I think the big problem is consoles lack the power to run that properly. I do wish for it though, I love watching Trooper Eli on Twitch. We all know R* is way to lazy to even make it possible on console anyway. Gonna have to rely on pc for that goodness.

Its not the power but rather Rockstar and the frustration. They can possibly add everything op mentioned but nobody is gonna want to wait for the paramedics to revive them and respawn to the nearest hospital or refuel your car. Not to mention their crappy p2p cloud servers that have tons of bugs and glitches.

If you compare FiveM and GTAO, FiveM would be a heaven.
I just wonder when 1000 players RP servers would show up, just like in SAMP.

to me having to refuel your car may be a very boring gameplay mechanic, its not fun irl....

 

there are lots of cool features that could be added but sometimes comparisons are not needed...both are separate titles and have gameplay features suited to them, in a survival game it would make sense to refill your car but in gta online it would just be a nuisance I feel

 

animals I have wanted since he beginning, only R* know why the have left them out in online, I doubt its "laziness" but I have played custom jobs with animals and the game doesn not reguster them across all players the same, we were both beating the same dead animal but a meter apart....

Thats why I did mention hardcore sessions, its personal choice, if you dont want these settings you still have the normal servers. You can't say "nobody" will wants that, FiveM shows it.

Im going offtopic, but dude, you reminded me about my old custom SAMP server experience.

So there was a server with semi-realism things. If your character's HP below like 20% then he's just gonna lie down and struggle. And all you can do is just call medics or wait for somebody else to finish you or heal you up.

I experienced this by myself. Some boi shot me down and i ended up lying in some bushes. I called medics and they made me wait for like 30+ irl minutes. What a exciting roleplay, right?

I've never wanted anyone to experience such stuff, i wasted a lot's of money on medkits and when my dumb friend were shooting some guys down (he was a fan of random kills) i actually healed them.

Atleast i had my respect on the server...

Sounds Operation Flashpoint to me, except there you should make to medics on your own, crawling without radar - only a paper map, kilometers away, praying there is no enemy will see you or a fellow tank ran out you. Good times. I like hardcore.

On a dedicated server even a PS3 could run 100 players and wildlife easily......

Hardcore settings can be a lot of fun, depending on what exactly the restrictions are. I don't think I'd want to wait multiple minutes for every respawn, but a longer interval than what we have currently would be an interesting new strategic aspect. Even a limited fuel supply could be awesome, adding tension to chases; whose tank will run dry first? I plan to get the PC version of GTAV some day, for FiveM and single player mods. Wouldn't touch PC GTAO with a ten foot barge pole, however...

R* tends to lean towards avoiding splitting the playerbase as much as possible.

It's unfortunate that all of the RP servers on FiveM are incredibly restricted, and incredibly boring.

IMO at this point, people would only play in a more restrictive session if there was massive amounts of fake money to be made. IMO most players either grind for fake cash or just PvP or just heist or just race etc... not many players are just playing for fun who want a challenge (or to RP) these days.

Also no one would respect players roleplaying as cops at this point, there's too many toxic players and OP toys added to just kill them all then kill the paramedics and the cows etc. It would be chaos if the usuals ended up in quality servers imo.

 

That said, I would join any type of lobby to get away from the usual ones, just to see what it's like. I'm a big fan of the pretty graphics so i'd love a blipless session too.

I really really really want to instal FiveM and play in some of their servers, so I really want to know if it´s safe or not. 

can someone be banned because of FiveM ? I´m afraid that I´d lose all my legit millions ,my cars and my Rank (lvl 709 so far) . 

yeah fiveM themselves say that it s safe since it doesn´t " modify the original GTA ´s files" , but then , on the GTA Support page, it says that it´s prohibited to play in other unofficial servers...I´m just confused...

sry about all that , I just want to make sure and to be convinced that FiveM is safe , don´t wanna lose everything on GTAO. Thanks !

Dear Rockstar, I know how to get your superiors to sign off on making blipless lobbies.  Let them know that players like me would re buy cars I already have with the purpose of making them look totally stock on the outside while suping up the innards.  I'd make at least 10 NEW cars like that.

 

There is almost no option you can do that will trigger me to re buy that many cars.

No, you cannot be banned for running mods in your game as long as you don't log into GTA Online.

I found FiveM even more interesting after seeing the drift lobbies. There are so many cool things they could add without touching the free mode..

Sadly, because of R* random restrictions on everything, the playerbase got split anyway.

Solo public sessions have split the playerbase way more than a hardcore mode could ever do and it's R*'s fault.

The only ones who have fun in FiveM servers are the owners and close friends, played it, nearly impossible to make a decent buck without grinding like a monkey and police force is waay overpowered in any server.

Well, I would suggest exclusive TDM rooms with selected weapons and unlimited matches, like a real server. This way you could view, spectate and select the “server” you want to join.

Not sure if GTA O architecture allows this, but it would stimulate people to play DM.

Driving along in a full modded sleeper Toyota chaser 2jz, other players drift passed me at great speed, no body killing, get to paleto bay see a bridge that's been added to map.., drive across the bridge to find a massive Japanese island added to the map, miles upon miles of drift forest roads.  At the start point players just chilling giving each other tips over chat.

 

Shame I have a potato pc as fiveM is awesome !!

 

Agreed the rp severs can be qustiable but there are other awesome ones to join.

They have the power to do almost everything that can be done on FiveM, minus map conversions mods.

 

The reason why we don't have things like player blips permanently off, new car classes, animals and hospital spawn point is because R* wanted otherwise, because the consoles can handle it fine.
