It seems like someone messages me at least every week recognizing me from the forums

I have the exact same thing happen to me.

 

Edit: I would, however, like to be invited to the Forums crew... Most of y'all know me, and I am a great player for all types of situations. I am also not a troll to forum members.

I never bumped into any GTAforums member by random because of my region. It's kind of funny to play on less populated regions, especially if you are playing on PS4 or Xbox One (most people in eastern europe prefer PCs). You'll often find yourself meeting same people over and over again.

Fennimoe, the GTAF crew put a halt on recruitment at the end of December last year. Don't know when that will be up and running again, I'm sure one of the more prominent members who frequent the online section might be able to offer more info.

I have seen a few GTAF clan names pop up in lobbies (XBox) but only once seen a name I recognise as actually contributing here (Halal_cyborg), someone called Mattygansta used to quite regularly be in the same lobby and a few times I Akulad tryhards who were trying to interfere with his CEO/MC work but he never acknowledged. Also bumped into a couple from here who were not actually in GTAF clans but recognised my gamnertag & sent me a 'hello' message as it's the same one I use to post here.

I've had the gtaf tag as primary for quite some time now on pc, but i've yet to cross paths with someone else with the same tag. Occasionally i try the join crew members option, but it loads me into my current lobby. Also it seems i have to do some occult ritual at some point, cos i'm still rank 1.

I think I might have landed in a session with you just by chance a few hours ago. It was a small, private-looking one though, so I didn't hang around.

I ran into Zero Kewl a couple times recently. I don't know if he recognized me, my gamertag is slightly different from my name here (thanks to someone reporting me for my clever and very mature wordplay). Fortunately I didn't kill him before I remembered he was from GTAF.

 

In general, I have not run into too many people from here online. I am friends with a handful, mostly from meeting them here first. I also met a guy online who ended up being friends with several people from the forum, and now we're all friends - but I didn't know them on the forum before I met them online, anyway. So that only sorta counts.

No one ever said it was full, it's just closed for recruitment.

 

We do have members who don't really use the forum much but are active in the game..and you'd be surprised.. a lot of VANS, PBMO and the sorts are in GTAF Crew, it's just not their primary when playing.

I didn’t really run into him but a notification with the name Blasterman forever popped up on my screen in a session not too long ago.

 

I used to join a lot of games with gtaf members way back in the day though. Don’t really remember names and not sure how many of them still play.

 

If you get zapped by an orbital canon one day though check the username and see if it’s me just trying to say hello. I Didn’t get anyone yet however. I’m sorry not trying to be an asshole but more of a “hey man! I see you around on the forums, what’s happening g?”
