So How often do GTAF guys run into each other by accident?

Whenever I run into forums members I ask them if they want to dupe a car.

I'm usually either duping, racing, or free roam testing cars slash monkeying around so I have virtually no situational awareness. Same irl, people see me, I don't see them.

I remember thinking this when I first joined the forums and sure enough as time went by I would notice some ‘prominent’ names in-game from here like mach1bud, yan and fun (not sure if it was actually them or not though) and many others which I have since befriended.

 

The best thing I ever did in GTA:O was probably joining the official GTAF crew as I’ve met so many cool, friendly and helpful people that really made the game much more enjoyable, shout out to all of you as there’s too many to mention

 

Also like to add that since joining GTAF crew i’ve noticed even more forum members and forum crews lurking in lobbies such as PBMO ya’ll are cool too, even though we had our misunderstandings in the past haha

Ran into Longsack a while ago, had some fun. There are also a few other members I've ran into. I generally just go ahead and add friend if we recognize each other in a friendly manner.

 

It's very rare for me though, since I'm in Asia and most of the time matchmaking rams me into Chinese sessions full of script kiddies. About the only time that I could reliably get into sessions in a civilized world was back at launch.

I usually don't pay attention to names. If you have the GTAF or PBMO crew I don't attack. My active crew usually is my own though.

Not too sure. I've seen forum names around, but my Xbox name is pretty much the same as it is here. LeakyLine's my moniker pretty much everywhere, or some form of it.

I'm not in the GTAF crew anymore, but still friends with some members and I know that some members of my current crew also have friends in GTAF. I bump into GTAF members every 2 or 3 days.

 

I've also seen Furry Monkey a couple of times (although not recently), and as a former member of Van Society I also run into members of that crew now and then.

 

I usually play in invite only or crew lobbies, so I guess I'd see forum members even more often if I'd just randomly join sessions.

Kinda hard because of the peer 2 peer system that gta online uses.. you'll usually end up with people that live near you.. for example in my case, i usually end up with ppl living in south america since i'm from argentina, usually brazilians because they are the ones that play gtao the most.

 

So i doubt there are many active forum members that i could meet in game.. if there are.. i don't know them due to their low forum activity and or mines.

 

Also take into account the different platforms: pc, ps4 and xbox, and you divide the chances in 3 on top of the very low regular chance..

Not often but it has happened. I believe I have seen Happy Hunter in a lobby once. Yes he was quite powerful in his Buzzard. I'm not sure but I think I may have blown up Forza Hard sometime over the weekend. Now I know why that name sounded familiar.

Ive ran into a little over a dozen from here over the years on PS3/PS4. Accidentally or because friends of mine were with them in freeroam or needed mission/setup/heist help. Im only friends with a handful, very close to two. I Imagine that had my request to join the crew gone through, Id have run into many more, though Id never switch my crew tag, so probably not.
