Principe Diabolus Custom Exhaust Flames?

Hey guys,

 

Ive been wanting a Principe Diabolus Custom for some time now, and finally took the plunge and purchased one.. absolutely no regrets, but one thing I have noticed is the lack of exhaust flames (and that popping sound) which seems to be present on all other vehicles (bikes and cars) once the exhaust system has been upgraded. Ok, Its certainly not the end of the world, but I do think that its a nice touch which adds to that high performance feel of the vehicle once you begin to upgrade.

 

Ive upgraded the exhaust as far as my current level will allow (I think the exhaust was called double shotgun or something along those lines), but noticed straight away that the flames were missing.. unlike pretty much every other vehicle of which I swapped the exhaust on. To be honest, other than in visual appearance, I dont think that there was any particular change to the tone of the exhaust note.

 

I was just wondering if anyone else who had purchased one of these had also noticed this? Maybe the flames turn up with the higher level exhaust systems? Just curious really..

I never liked that flame pops. But i'll check this stuff out later and let you know.

Not used mine in a long time but from what I remember it doesn't have flame pops.

Thank you for your response.. I can completely understand someone disliking the flame thing.. I guess we all like different things.. but for me, I always kinda liked that when I upgraded.. maybe its just that I can actually see (and hear) that I got something for the money I spent, haha

I'm at work with no audio, so sorry if it's plagued with sh*tty music etc. Skip to 7:17 where the post upgrade footage starts, I was incorrect, the exhaust does seem to flame pop.

Thanks for the video link, and yes.. definitely some flames from those exhausts.

 

Well there was definitely none coming from mine when I upgraded last night, unless it was some kinda glitch in the game and they magically appear later. The only other thing I can imagine is that they only appear with the higher level systems..

The Engine / EMS upgrades affect the frequency of afterfire too, often even more so than the exhaust.

There's several vehicles with this bug though, IIRC. The Slamvan Custom also suffers, popping the exhaust but without any flame effect.

Hmm, thats interesting then.. possibly just a glitch or something.

 

Ill have another play around with it in a bit and see what its doing. Love the bike though.. maybe not the fastest in the game, but its plenty fast enough, handles well, sounds really good, and in my opinion, without doubt one of the best looking bikes in GTA..
