Anyone else having texture/material bugs after win 10 update?

So I initially rolled back the 'fall creators' update for windows 10 because it made all my chrome vehicles appear to be black, other things were affected too, but it was more noticable on the chromed vehicles, so I decided to roll it back & that fixed the issue, but now I am getting bombarded with messages from windows to update & the only way to stop it is to ctrl+alt+del & end the process, it's becoming really intrusive now as it's affecting my gameplay by forcing the 'we are updating windows' message

 

 

Anyone else had the issue.

I think i know what could cause a bug with chrome vehicles. While i was playing on weak laptop, i used to change game files to optimize the game. I completely removed reflections, which caused chrome vehicles to look like a dark abyss.
You had to go to: Documents > Rockstar Games > GTA V > settings.xml file. And there you had to change ReflectionQualityValue= to 0. In your situation, you had to change it back (my current value is set to 3). Maybe your GTA changed this setting by itself somehow in the first place.
If you're gonna try this, keep in mind that changing files outside of game options is sort of against the rules, so do it at your own risk.

That being the case, I won't chance it, if I don't update GPU drivers or Windows the reflections will be fine, but the issue is I can't run from these update forever lol

Not quite ready to mark as solved, but I have just updated my GPU drivers to the latest version & the reflections appear to be normal, now I am updating windows 10 to see if anything silly happens there... will keep you posted.

No need now, all seems to be normal, both windows 10 & my GPU drivers are both up to date & reflections seem normal, I'm guessing it was because I had to update both, unless AMD & Microsoft pacthed their bugs at the same time lol.. who knows, but it is fixed now
