If you want to add it to gta3.img you can use alci's img editor but you shouldn't do rebuild archive after that, because game will crash.

Sorry, but i don't know exactly. When i was trying to install it to gta3.img i was unpacking textures from the archive and replacing them by the alci's img editor without archive rebuilding. But i was adding textures exactly to "gta3.img", exactly that name, without all that "fix" words in the name.

UPD: I think you need unpack textures from 'gta3.img fix' by rar or zip archiver (if it has similar format) or by the img tool 2.0 if it has img-format.

There are four folders in rosa project reborn archives 

1:- Cutscene.img (contains cutscene textures and models)

2:- Data (contains data file)

3:- gta3.img (contains gta3.img, Rosa1.img & Rosa2.img)

4:- gta3.img fix (contains one or two texture file )

 

Just move Data and gta3.img folders to game folder and import cutscene.img folder files manually(data file in data folder will make game automatically detect textures in rosa1.img and rosa2.img)

 

I dont exactly know what is purpose of gta3.img fix (i dont know if they have removed it but it was in the archive when i downloaded)

 

I replied because you do too much work to install it.

 

If something is wrong, just reply (dont quote me)

Try to install it like it descripted, but without adding gta3.img fix.

If it doesn't help - install mod with this file.

already try it. the game crash even i use clean gta sa. well maybe i stick to srt then.

It works without modloader.

Just move 'data' and 'models' folders directly into clean game folder(essential mods installed like 'gta_sa.exe (1.0 US version)','Silent's asi loader','Mixsets')

ok, will try it later. honestly, i don't really like srt3. since many of the texture looks not natural. Also its have many glitch texture. But that the only full mipmaps who i know (many mipmaps mod but most off them not complete or dropped). That why when i saw ROSA i think it will good time to change the mipmaps. Since srt3 have problem with shadow too.

edit : its works, mixsets its the culprit. don't know why.

Put this in with modloader but it's replaced all the modded vehicles I'd downloaded and installed from GTAAll with the originals.

Is there a way of stopping that without reinstalling them?

how can i extract all .txd files from rosa1.img and rosa2.img ??

already tried extracting using alci's img editor and img editor 2.0 but some files doesn't extract (extract but have 0kb size )

In the game, open mod options from the ESC menu. Then go to the RoSA mod and set its priority level lower than your other mods. I assume you have the mods in separate folders, default priority is 50, so you can set RoSA's priority to simply 10. This way your other mods will overwrite the RoSA HD textures.

PLEASE do a man made retexture of the pine tree LOD this is literally the worse texture in the game and one of the most common.

I did for pretty much everything else but for vehicles I used GTAAll's auto installers so would that still work?

There's still 3.688 textures for me to do. (only counting the exterior world).

I received help with a few textures but most part of it is done by me (99,99%).
RoSA is way more incomplete then I tought it would be, RoSA only changes 1.622 world textures (without counting the repetitions). RoSA only covers about 30% of the world textures, so I have to make the other 70% to fully complete the mod. It's a lot of work, and I don't have a crew to help me. I don't have time to create a exact remake 1:1 of the original textures, so what I do is a recreation that looks good enough for my taste.
I don't know when I'm going to release it. But I have been releasing my work separatedly, until this moment I made the weapons, vehicles, vegetation, CJ, loadscreens ,started to make the interiors and characters. I have also covered 70% of the cutscene.img textures and 30% of the game props textures, I'll release them separatedly also.

 

Preferentially I'm recreating the textures from scratch. I do upscales when I think the result will look fine enough. In my upscales, I make manual edits before and after the process.

I'm also fixing bugs from the mod. Replacing textures with better ones. We created a ''texture hunt'' channel on mixmods discord, to find the sources from rockstar. And thanks to this, I have hundreds of new original textures in hd (most of those textures aren't present on DimZet pack). 

I aim to improve absolutely all textures present on every single .txd file from the game. Making an acceptable replacement (in my opinion) for literally all game's textures.

 

You might wonder what happened with RoSA Reborn original crew. M.S ceased the development of the mod after the other members dropped it. The chances of them coming back is zero. Currently I'm the only person working on this mod.

 

Since there's 3 thousand textures of the world left to do, would be nice to have some help. If anyone here wants to help making new textures for this mod, send me a private message.

(and yes, I know that the text font is different, but websites like ''whatthefont'' sees the artifacts as details, and recommends the wrong fonts. So I ended up taking a random font because I don't have time to browse hundreds of pages to look for similar fonts)

This texture took around 3 hours to be made, and there's 1.130 buildings textures to do. Unfortunately I haven't managed to find no one to help with the mod. It's very unlikely that I'll be able to finish all, but I'll do much as I can until my will fades away.

Anyone having issues where the game doesn't fully load assets with this mod? The one thing I noticed initially was that building load kinda slowly but then when I entered Caligula's it crashed a bunch of times and when it didn't, it simply didn't load the interior fully. I have the SA limit adjuster installed. I'm just unsure what I'm missing.

 

Edit: It's fixed. It was caused by the LOD (2dfx) lights mod. There's too many of those objects and it makes the game engine very unstable.

 

Edit 2: Well, some cutscenes don't load. What was changed with those files?

It also changes cutscene.img if i didn't mistake. You should backup it to vanilla version i think.

The mod's installed. Everything is working just perfectly fine... However, after driving around for some time textures don't seem to load. And these just stay this way, unless I restart the game. The MemoryFix2048 didn't fix this issue.

Have you tried using MixSets? That was the only tool that could fix this.
