Man, this topic is such a mess, all i see is a defensive guy with a lot to give thinking the world is against him.

There's so much to earn by having all of you work together.

Stop the fighting, is not that serious.

 

Anyway, on topic, i was about to combine The AI mod with Rosa, then i found out the author of the AI mod allready did it, so i'm thankfull for that.

 

You people need to chill.

But this is exactly what I did.

My only mistake was that I did not consider that you also made 6 fixes (but that you now claim to be more). I wasn't even attacking you, it's not personal.

 

Just call the mod in an informative way (you later changed the name to "RoSA Project Reborn + Upscale" and that's fine), keep credits inside the download (I didn't downloaded it btw) and keep the file only with RoSA and upscale, so we can share it as an alternative download without problems. Also, I think there are exceptions, some mods you mentioned seem to have been made by people close to the project members (some of the mods are from Jão?).

If you don't want your mod published, it's is a victimization, because absolutely no one here asked for this, on the contrary, people and me are asking for your mod, and as you say, you don't want your work time to be wasted. There is no reason for you to do this.

 

It would be nice if you sent the fixed txds, or at least their name, to put in the official download (preferably without an upscale, since even releasing a version that includes upscale, the original progress will continue as it is, unless the rest of the team changes their mind, because, even if upscale makes it more complete, automatic upscale is never perfect. RoSA uses upscale, but with some manual work and template, so it's better be just an alternative version).

I recall that I said that I already finished the game and deleted it. I fixed way more than 6 problems, but since I don't kept a record of what I did, unfortunately I can't help with that matter.

 

I saw that you guys put in use my advice and used that .img limit adjuster. Great, this way it's much more stable and don't corrupt the .txd files.

Since I'm in quarantine (and much of you guys are too) I decided remake my texture mix. It's automated thing, not much effort, just take a time to rebuild the .txd files.

But this time will be different, now I will mix RoSa + SRt3 2014 + My AI upscale together.

I checked SRt3 before, it's really complete, apparently, even more complete than RoSa. Yes, the textures of it are not exact remakes of the originals but it's still great.

As you asked, will not mention RoSa in the pack name (obviusly, will keep the credtis in .txt file), I will think other name for it. I will share it here, you can post on your site if you want.

Besides taking little time, I'm doing it because it's very unlikely that you guys will finish RoSa. There's more than 10 thousend textures left to do. So this mix will problably be the more complete texture pack for the game ever made.

Yes, I know that SRT author does not allow this kind of thing, but it's not like I will profit from that in some way, and we all have the same objective here, that is retexture this very nostalgic game, also the SRT author is not around for 3 years, his original topic is from 2008, he could have change his mind about that matter 12 years later, probably don't even care about it anymore. I will not make a topic here, or post it in nexus, mod db etc, I will just share here trough comment for who wants to use. And if SRT author was still around, I would ask for his permission. I don't see anything wrong about it, his work will be enjoyed by even more people.

Big update released!

 

Fixed a lot of issues that came with the first release, and new updates and fixes will come a lot faster, as I won't need to compile everything again everytime.

New updates will come as complementary files. Not compatible with SAMP at the moment (some isue with loading .img files).

Now ALL the TXD files are divided between 2 IMG files. The gta3.img that comes in the download (just the original file, but without the TXD's) is necessary for the game to load TXDs from other IMGs. Fully compatible with modloader. Installation is as simple as it gets (instructions in the download file).

We also made a few changes to RoSA's original textures, most of the time to be more lorefriendly, to be closer to original textures, or to fix misspelling in some texts.

Thanks for the update.

 

But Candy Suxxx is still vanilla in new update. Also - why not use RoSA textures for palms on strip? Why leave vanilla? It is compatible with model. I made my own file like this back when the strip trees used a bugged, low res texture in an old version of RoSA Reborn. Edit: I guess it was an accident. I just noticed that in your Candy Suxxx preview pic that the strip trees were supposed to have already been updated?

I don't get what you're trying to mean. Where did you see vanilla palm trees? The new texture id in HD, just follows the original look. Also, make sure you don't have any mod that changes the palm's texture, cause even if you set a higher priority for RoSA Reborn in modloader, any txd file will still have a higher priority than .img files.

Oh, my fault. We got that texture after releasing the update, i mixed up the screenshots. We are working with 2 new guys (one of them was the guy that did the mexican girl), and soon we wil update the mod with HD Candy Suxxx, HD Avery Carrington and a ton of billboards in HD, 41 to be exact, along with some other textures and a few fixes.

Oh yeah you're right. I noticed Candy when on a lite build with just MixMod's ESSENTIALS and MixSets but when I took the screenshot I used the wrong build. Didn't notice the trees anyways until I went to post. My bad, my bad.

 

But damn I'm stoked. I really liked Joao's Mexican girl v2 and Candy Suxxx sign. Glad they made it in. Happy to hear of more people on board. Those billboards look great. The vanilla ones were so bad and they desperately needed it. I think it is one of the best things to get textured. Thank you.

 

Edit: It was the PS2 models mod from the PS2 Features to PC thread causing the vanilla textures on the strip trees, in case anyone else experiences the same thing. Just remove that and you're good.

 

Edit2: Okay, actually you just need to remove vgsn_nitree.txd from your PS2 models folder to get RoSA trees to work with PS2 models. I'm not sure why the models mod includes a texture, maybe it includes a texture that was missing like what Map Textures Fix does. But removing it fixes the vanilla tree problem. I would also remove lasground_las2.txd from your PS2 models folder because I'm sure RoSA uses that texture too. Figured I'd dig a little deeper because I like using PS2 models to fix glowing casino next to Four Dragons, animated screens inside Four Dragons, etc.

Thank you for pointing that out. I did not know that! Unfortunately some (most?) of the RoSA textures are locked. Their vgsn_nitree.txd isn't locked but their lasground_las2.txd is locked. So this is something the developers would have to fix on their end. Which they should do if they would like to because it falls under the same category as the Map Textures Fix type fixes that they have been incorporating. I compared the RoSA vgsn_nitree.txd to the PS2 vgsn_nitree.txd and they both have 4 textures and they are all correspondingly named the same. So it seems the RoSA vgsn_nitree.txd is fine and probably fixes whatever the PS2 vgsn_nitree.txd fixes.

 

Edit:

 

I did a comparison. There is also a spelling error in the RoSA texture. The PS2 texture says CASA DE EMPEÑO which is correct in Spanish, whereas the RoSA texture says CASA DE EMPENO, which is incorrect.

If you mean those, this is part of "PS2 Map", not "PS2 Models".

 

Also, I would recommend you to use the "Pre-lighting Fixes Pack", as it fixes the pre-lighting for many models, including all the trees (I didn't really see any difference between the ps2 model from the pc one, both has the broke pre-lighting). Heres a comparision from the PS2, PC + RoSA and PC fixed + RoSA:

They are not locked, we don't do that here haha. Are you trying to open them with which program?

This is error from the original team, but I'm goig to fix it, and also change that real hand holding cash for a drawing, like the original one (as it is a painting on the wall).

If a mod changes the models from the original game and uses different textures, it won't be compatible, and I can't adapt RoSA for every model mod out there, I'm sorry.

If you delete gta3.img, samp will load, but you'll have the old textures. The modified gta3.img is necessary for the game to load the new files.

I did not notice the PS2 model was mapped differently. RoSA texture is fine with vanilla dff. So for RoSA to work with PS2 models remove lasground_las2.txd, vgsn_nitree.txd, and las2jmscum12.dff.

No that is not what I mean. I already use Pre-lighting Fixes pack, and Z PC Maps + Fixes (I check MixMods site multiple times daily 😂). I was referring to the glowing casino next to Four Dragons:

PS2 models fixes this. Honestly outside of that I'm not sure what else it does apart from that and the pawn shop. I just load it under Pre-lighting Fixes Pack. There is not much description on the PS2 Features thread, or screenshots. But I use it because it fixes that. Pre-lighting Fixes Pack should incorporate that model because at the moment the pack doesn't fix it. Hopefully if updated it would make PS2 models obsolete. But yeah you guys don't need to be adapting to multiple dffs. You've got enough on your plate as is. They probably intentionally removed the girl from the side of the pawn shop on PC intentionally anyway because it's so iconic and unique in its location in East LS anyway.

Sorry if this wasn't clear from my original post. I never meant to say that this mod should be compatible with another mods models, that'd be insanely time consuming!

 

I was merely giving a heads up for anyone using those PS2 models that they're required to put in that specific texture into lasground_las2.txd (with its correct name) if they wanted to use that PS2 model (it seems to be the only change for that model, texture mapping seems to be the exact same apart from that single "extra" texture).

Hello,

I want to play Samp with this textures but when I enter in Samp, SA not loading and remain ~1 min in loading screen and then close unexpected. Note: I use SAMP R1.
