Please explain - why so many cars ?

On old one I was only interested in weaponized vehicles, armored ones... Only zentorno and t20 (and currently vagner, but probably soon will be sold).

 

On new char I want to buy some cars... But it's like... There isn't more than like 30 cars at most that I want, by the first look.

 

And I am reading that some users wants more garage space... How do you buy your cars ?

 

Like, what is your purpose to have that many, when most of them are ... ugly ?

Well for me.. I collect cars. Mostly with unique paint. I'm not active in that scene these days but my collection still takes up 100 cars or so. That doesn't leave many spaces. If I had normal cars that could be replaced then I might sell them (that's what rockstar hope for) because you loose the 40% but because you do drop the 40% I'd likely be reluctant to sell and then we are back at the same problem of having no space. If you sold back for full value then they would never have to add more space as then it wouldn't matter to get rid of cars for the majority of people. Technically to be a successful killer and racer you probably only need 30 cars.

Game's nearing 5 years old for some.

 

Even at a plod with no 2x events ever, just on that time, quite casually. Cash just builds.

 

Of course, there's some that cheat money too. But that doesn't make them any less a collector either.

 

San Andreas is my favourite story mode of all so far, and in that, I owned the city, all 3 of 'em.

 

Still got that in me too, lol.

This should have died the very first time someone asked this stupid question and got the obvious answer: people like the cars (or many of them) and like collecting them, modding them and driving them. Your preferences and tastes are different from other people's - I know, it's shocking.

this game lifts the restriction real life has (for the most part) and they can live out their dreams in gta. be it collecting super expensive/rare cars,visiting hookers without getting STD's etc.

I´m a car guy , I love cars and I love collecting them (like many ppl do ) ... that´s why we need more cars and more garage space , and that ´s why we do need that Tuners DLC as well

There are many beautiful cars in this game, each has it's own character, each handles, sounds and looks differently (for the most part), plus there is the matter of garage aesthetics, when you played the game enough and got enough vehicles you just can't store your kuruma with your bati, weaponized insurgent and zentorno, you want them organized by some theme, and when you have.. per se 8 muscle cars you like and drive, it's only natural to buy 2 more good looking muscle cars and dedicate a garage to that, and it's getting harder to pull off with the ever increasing variety of freshly added cars and a limited space to store them in.

Then you aren't a car guy like us then. If you "got over it" you were never really invested in the hobby in the first place. Some people actually know what they enjoy and it stays that way for their entire life.

 

I would absolutely love to have a huge car collection in real life, unfortunately I have to limit my projects to 2 at a time due to space. I doubt my passion will change anytime soon, been at it for 20+ years now, and doing it daily for a living.

 

GTA is basically my fantasy land where I can live out my car guy desires.

This is interesting question, because I only understand people like myself and real cars collectors who have some specific cars. They could be any theme or just some value in it, or may be replicas and dream cars. But love all of them, and hoarding 100, without actually any sense. Because, here like with people, together they're crowd, junkyard, and only certain of them could be personal, individual, valuable. That's my opinion.

 

In game I have 26 cars.
