with a game that being running for so long like this one everyone eventually gets burnt out... just take a few days/weeks off every now and then.

if you feel the game is too much of a grind, turn to the dark side.

personally, it being a while since i last played the game for money, i made my fortune a while ago and being living off that since.

The whole game is grinding for cash to buy stuff you really don't need.

I don't grind, because this game don't have much to offer anything i really would like to buy. My main income is from helping with grinding, SecuroServ wages, MC assists payouts ect.

Then you get in a pvp battle and spend all your cash on ammo and insurance..

Since i don't buy anything, i got ~22 millions of doing more or less casual gameplay. I can let myself to spend some money in PvP if i need to.

I don't get it.

Easy. Stop grinding!

The only bussines I use is my bunker. I fill it up when I feel like it let it produce to 240k and let it sit there until I feel like selling it.

I help my crewmates sell their stuff.

I look for doomsday heist finales with the quick job app (bogdan problem is the best imo) making a fortune because you can play them with just 2 people.

Play sh*tversery modes when they are double cash and I fell like doing them.

Race when I feel like it.

Thats about it.

Ofcourse as a PC player I got the advantage that I don't pay insurance so I save quite some cash there. My ammo (regular bullets for all guns) also magicly refills itself everytime I switch sessions (no idea why) so I save a ton there too because I only pay for explosives wich I rarely use.

Edit:

If you are already burnt out you should switch to a diffrent game for a while. I played watch dogs 2 after I got fed up with gunrunning and just last week I played fortnite because I had 11 million gta $ and nothing interessting to do.

I don't get burned out because even though the game has (many, many) flaws, there are still aspects I enjoy, so I ignore what I don't enjoy to the degree it's possible and focus on what I do like.

I stopped grinding, didn't stop the money making activities, but constantly playing to maximise money per hour was a drag. I just do what I'm in the mood for, might sell cars, might collect 9 crates for a solo delivery, I might reopen Coke and Meth and rob convenience stores or deliver cars to Simeon while they produce product.

I'll take advantage of event weeks that interest me, race, accept random invites to Lamar missions or Overtime Rumble or whatever comes along. Even deliberately target try hards just for a laugh at the messages they send.

I even enjoy b*tching about all the broken and low quality sh*t that gets added to the game.

The forum adds a lot to my enjoyment of the game whether it's the Next DLC thread in the lead up to a new update or ripping the latest Adversary Mode to shreds in B&M.

Really wish there was another emmersive 1st person shooter with good driving, I'd try it in a heartbeat to see if it's any good then toss C* to the curb.

I would argue that GTA is an immersive fps with good driving - the driving mechanics suck. Sure, not as bad as Payday driving but they aren't anything I'd call good.

Without the driving, Payday 2 has recently caught my attention and replaced GTA for me. Farcry 5 looks to be a strong contender too. If third person is your thing there's always Wildlands but didn't do it for me.

Well I have been playing since October 13 and am still here.

My method for not getting burnt out now is not to play the game all the time and try to have another game to play as well (easier now I have GT Sport)

as this means that when I do want to play I quite enjoy doing the games modes or CEO/MC work etc.

It also helps having other hobbies that tend to mean I don't get as much time to play as I would like.

I see the problem....he said PvP. PvP is designed just to drain, dont fall for it.

That's what they want you to believe.

That's what they want you to spend your cash on.

The right way to play the game is to not play it as the way they want.

- If you grind, find shortcuts. You can make money without getting tired or stressed. Don't be a noob who blindly follows the objective.

- If you PvP, search weaknesses and workarounds.

Really wish there was another emmersive 1st person shooter with good driving,

Player's Unknown Battlegrounds.

The driving is not that good, but it's close.

Far Cry 5 is just around the corner, the older Far Cry games had a decent driving physics.

Shooting in GTA suck as well. It suck even more than driving. Idk.

It's too casual for me.

Any Battlefield title has better ballistics, much more immersion than GTA and "dancing" in these games is more restricted.

Stop grinding. Start to appreciate the game more, try new things in the game without restrictions, and actually play the game for fun, not because you need to make money all the time. After i throw away grinding, i started to have more fun in this game. I roam freeroam more, discover new things, role play, doing random things with or without friends, and playing mission just for the sake of it and have fun, not because i need to make money. Yes throwing away grinding can lead to 2 things, 1. You're poor af in game, 2. You are glitchers. I personally choose the glitching method, while not honorable, playing the game without constant worry of money is why i didn't get burnt out at the moment, idk in the couple of month though.

I don't get it.

Gaming as a thing is pointless.

It's only a grind if you don't enjoy it, then it becomes a job. Over my close to 2500 hours in this game I don't think I have ever been real sick of it, sick of the need for money, as I naturally accumulate money with the way I play.

Sure I get bored sometimes, but then I take a break. I just had a two week break, but now I'm back and enjoying the game again. But then again I don't PVP at all, so I don't use money for anything else than new cars or properties.

Why do YOU play the game?

Don't grind and don't "pvp".

If you play naturally, as you would any GTA story mode, you won't get burnt out.

By not grinding the away at the game , been part of a awesome crew/crew meets, join folks from this forums for heists / missions ,make the most of an event week that I like still have double cash in bank from them. And definitely need to mention Crew meets again , also play other games.

play community made content lts/races

One thing I have done is mainly purchase classics and mussle cars stay away from overpriced supers has made a noticble difference to bank account and garage space .

This update has reignited my love for cars. All I do lately is log on and stare at my XXR while doing Sightseer and contact missions in invite only. Even when I'm about to log off I start having second thoughts as I can't stop admiring the XXR lol.

Sure, it's no F1 or Forza, but it's not Mario Kart either. The driving opportunities are great considering the diversity of the vehicles (cars, trucks, semis, planes, jets, helis, bicycle). Yeah, the mechanics are not the best but they're FAR from the worst. The PvP opportunities are massive, too. Just so many ways to do so many things.

i don't know why but there just is something about this game that no other game has.

^^^ This. A thousand times this!

With all the crap C* feeds us it's still the best of it's kind out there.

Like, I don't need to own *everything* so it's not that bad for me.

It's the reason I'm just now starting to hit level 500, there's plenty of points where I'll take 2-3 month breaks and not even touch GTA Online.

tbh i just loaded to look at the new cars and even though i have funbucks aplenty i couldn't be bothered to buy any of it.

off-roaders are all that keep my interest, and i really need a new map for that.

that and over the top meme vehicles as people like to call them. i must be a squeaker at heart.

Yes and if they weren't douches it could have been the best game the world has seen and stayed in front for 15 years on this same version but it wont... Come 2021 or so everyone else will have a better GTA out than GTA.

Still in the middle of my vehicle overhaul. Been driving so many cars back and forth, making various decisions. Loving this part.

But I'd be as active here with this DLC had I the room for much more of course. Just this part of GTA today though, so much fun. Seeing others doing similar and tuning their toys, often tooting at each other in and out of LSC, lol.

Reminds me of earlier days. :)

Even though I do play this game to death, I still have a multitude of games from ps plus and games that I actually bought to play. When I do get morbidly tired of GTAO I simply start on ef em up. THen I get tired as hell playing those games and come back home to Los Santos....

It's better to burn out than to fade away.

Mix it up. After the "new dlc" I have stepped back to Dubsta 2 spawning again, finding comfort in something old and familiar. But that gets boring quite fast.

What keeps me playing is the players. So many strange players. Old and new. No lobby is the same.

But I put grinding with my crew before anything else. We grind the works and still manage to have some fun doing it. Players come and go and life goes on.

As a casual gamer I understand how others can get fed up of this game. On PC the cheater scum can ruin it all in a few seconds.

FC5 is 100% co-op PvE. I do not know if it has PvP as that doesn't interest me, the co-op PvE is VERY tempting. There's a fair bit of info out for it now and I think it's out very soon. In my mind it's certainly a huge contender to replace GTA:O

I take breaks--I've bought Far Cry 5, and will be playing that quite a bit as soon as it's out.

Oddly enough, Wild West Online is still alive(!), and I would say in decent development considering some recent rough patches. It just had a big update with some solid progress, and has good frame rates with a GTX 970, even with graphic quality cranked up most of the way. In time, this has promise for being a bit of a PvP contender for RDR2; perhaps with some different style/approaches to things.

But yeah, I would suggest playing something other than GTA Online if it's getting to you, then come back--it'll be a lot of fun again for a while.

I see gaming as being for fun than a lot of real life stuff.

I played Battlefield 3 over 2000 hours.

I played Battlefield 4 about 2500 hours

I have over 3000 hours Gta.

Gaming is my escape, it's my lifestyle,I live to laugh at myself fail, watch other people fail and sometimes succeed.

I gave easily had many 18 hour nonstop gaming sessions on Gta.

I live for the grind.

The grind is me.

Most of my friends are burnt out.

I don't even know what that means.

Driving to work I think about gta.

At work, I check out gta YouTube videos on my breaks.

I guess I just live for this.

I guess I have a severe addictive personality you could say.
