Huh interesting poll results, I dunno why people was expecting something big already. Small DLC's always follow big DLC's and March if I'm not mistaken has always had racing DLC's.

To those who expected another big DLC, lmao

We'll get filler DLC's till around mid-late summer where we'll get a moderate sized DLC in the form of a new free roam business. Then back to filler DLC's until the end of the year where we'll get something big like missions or new heists. We're not getting big DLC's every 2-3 months.

I have two words for the newest update:

"Yawwwn" and "Zzzzzz."

And hey, I'm all kinds of happy when a new update hits the front stoop, but really, I don't think this is what the core GTAO players were excited for.

There's been lots of speculation, from a Naval DLC to a new map extension, so to see this was, well... like I said with my two words above.

DLR Rating (0/10): 2.8

What I had listed was in no way a big DLC, it was something simple that we could look back on and say that was a fantastic filler update. Rockstar did not completely meet the filler update definition when they are DIPFEEDING ALMOST 10 CARS AND ONLY RELEASING 6 ON DAY ONE. Everything I listed is not 5 miles long regarding content. These could have been easy editions, but Rockstar isn't down to do any of it because they choose the easy way out, kind of like a tryhard when you think about it. What 80% of the people were expecting, however, was a decent update that wasn't compiled in less than an hour.

As a racer I'll always take new races, cars, and double money on said races. At least it's something fun and not Adversary Modes, though trolling on these oval tracks seem to be a bigger issue then normal.

I expect the majority of cars to get drip feed to last 2 or 3 months, it's how Rockstar operates.

However I agree with the tracks somewhat, I kinda figured they'd use stunt pieces but I thought they'd add new props, proper banked turns and such. There is one oval track there where the long banked turn is just a series of straight pieces put together resulting in a bumpy turn. I'm like "you couldn't just add proper bent road pieces?" Which is weird because you'd think adding new prop pieces would be the easier thing to do. To me it seems harder to use a bunch of straight pieces to try simulate a turn then it would be for Rockstar to just create and add a new prop. So some of their design choices are quite odd.

I like the cars but the poor performance on EVERY vehicle has me extremely disappointed. The nascar circuit is actually a joke, if I wanted to do nascar races I'd do that nascar talladega track some random player did. at least that track was good. R* should of just made more stunt race tracks

also the jester classic being a sports classic actually makes me want to kill myself

Meh ... I expected more. Some cool cars, others they shouldn't have even bothered to add if was going to be poorly made.

3 rally cars but no new rally tracks. Racing is a lot more, not just NASCAR (no offense). Add some tracks inspired in real life, would be cool for the ones that like to race without those jumps, boost and so on.

Cool theme, but poorly executed.

The racemode is pure snore and there's no garage space added...so there isn't really an update for me but the addition of a badly executed and pointless race mode and some nice looking although apparently broken cars with no new garage to store them in regardless.

Terrible. Worst update, period.

The only redeeming thing is the cars.

f*ck stunt races. 15 updates about them was enough. You can stop adding more now, R*...

New stuff is always welcome. While I asked in another thread if the livery unlock can be done solo based on the negative feedback for the tracks here, doing so got boring after the 3rd race. So I invited randoms and - maybe I got lucky - it was really fun with arround 12-25 others "boxing" thru the tracks. I totally forgot about the lame tracks themself - getting through the reserve drivers/blockers rammers using slipstream and at least a handful other racers which I teamed up with getting back in lead in turns to go even faster - funny. Won a few races even when kicked back to 24th place.

Based on that yesterday evening experience, I like the races for occasional fun. Can't say anything about the added cars atm, but they included a Sea Sparrow in the (d)ripfeed which I lust for. So a big + here, too.

Overall for me a solid 7/10. Could be even higher with some new clothes, hairstyles and even player actions.

People somehow got worse at driving. There worse than npc traffic. Game needs to put those who spin you out or go backwards into ghosted mode so they cant ram anymore.

The lack of a business doesn't bother me at all. I'm too bored of grinding to do any business other than something quick and passive like a bunker sale.

What really hurt it was that it didn't buff bombs. This was a terrible atrocity in my opinion.

Some good patches, with a lot of promise - but not perfect. Insurance should be gone, for example. The EWO patch should affect sticky bombs too. Still some good stuff though.

Good cars, catering to what people want, but I'm not massively a car guy.

The Sea Sparrow is here, so I am bribed. Just a shame they're dripfeeding it.

Also maybe throw in some boots with jeans next time as well.

I don't give a damn about the races, those car just BEAUTIFUL. Like, every car in the update. Even this 6-wheeled minigunned SUV is precious. Even Supra, which is dissapointed a lot of people. Like, come on guys, they can't just CTRL+C CTRL+V cars from Real Life, they need to make some changes. And i think that they gave themselves a task to make this car look as close as possible to San Andreas Jester, not the real life Supra.

So yea, for me this update is 8/10 (Races might be more interesting, but we got what we got)

I've chosen the 3rd option - "I'm in the middle".

As I said here, R* clearly listens to us and our requests. There's been plenty of cars last year we've practically demanded - like Hermes, Cheetah or Deluxo, so seeing them, and more, returning from older games, is a nice touch, something that long time series fans like yours truly truly appreciate. Too bad there's an old saying that comes to my mind - "hell is paved with good intentions", and R*'s actions capture its essence. They have the right ideas, but they lack either understanding of them, or resources to do them properly. That's why Ellie's front is a flat atrocity and a slap in the face of classic Mustang fans, and Jester, oh, boy, Jester, there's nothing good about it whatsoever. What a disgraceful disappointment. The last time I was so sad and heartbroken, was when Comet Retro Custom was released, and it turned out it's not a classic, lovable, stock Comet, but some Hot Wheels piece of junk with 4 trashcans sticking out of its body, serving as wheel arches.

Still - they've got a good idea, knowing we really want these vehicles in the game, and would like to purchase them. So there's someone who listens and knows that satisfying fans is a key to success.

Then, there's a problem of R* testing out new handling features, and treating us like lab rats - same happened when downforce was introduced, and we've tgot to beta test it. When it comes to technical stuff, I have a feeling R* is just using GTA Online to test new things for the future - interior options, third color for Youga Classic, downforce, semi-bulletproof windows could serve as examples, and there's most like more to that. I don't mind some of them, but come on, playerbase shouldn't serve as free beta testers in a game that's hardly an early access title.

When it comes to contents of this DLC other than vehicles, I don't care too much about them. New races are super tedious and monotonous, especially when you play with random noobs who ram everything left and right. I wish R* could implement a racing option similar to what mid 2000s Need for Speed games were using, where you just can't push another car out of your way, because it seems like it's too heavy to affect it. Anyways, I've digressed from the subject.

I don't mind smaller updates - in fact, I'm happy we haven't got yet another cookie cutter worthless freeroam business - I'm sick of these, and don't want to see more emphasis on them. Same goes to militarized vehicles that R* has been shoving into our throats since I/E. Oh, and Saints Row reject meme vehicles as well - like Oppressor or flying Deluxo. Still, Ellie and Jester are unforgivable offences, and I will hold a grudge against R* for them, the same way I still mourn what they've done to classic Comet.

The Other Dude

For a filler update it's disappointing. The design and proportions of some of the new vehicles look terrible. There have now been a few cars that have the option of over fenders without the ability to make wheels wider. I just don't understand why R* refuses to use Benny's to allow deeper customization to rectify problems like this. The Jester Classic, which many have been looking forward to, looks like something straight out of Saints Row. The same goes for the new Dominator.

I like collecting cars so I'll probably still end up purchasing most of the cars when they eventually go on sale but I hope they don't ruin future cars with these uninspired ideas.

what makes me ui ui ui:

- sparkly variety of different crunchy cars!!! fagaola is pearly, gb200 is flippy and so on.. add in some planes, boats and bikes, that wouldn't be yikes!

what leaves me unimpressed like a fish skeleton in front of my fluffy face:

- hotring races. i soloed some, i join some full lobby. not my cup of fish.

- adversary modes... wish they would mix it up with normal contact missions and stuff

what makes me ai ai ai:

- jester classic. wasted potential. also.. nfx would be the jester classic.. call supra something else and do more with this legendary!

- forced middle headlights on ellie...

- this performance bug or whatever it is

- lack of new clothing

- lack of new garage space

overall: nice addition, but not much in terms of gameplay, except more session splits for me hihihi

If someone showed me a demo of this update, before it was released, i would've thought,

that this was put together by some modders and not by a company, that is worth millions of dollars.

I'm not complaining about R* putting stuff into the game, i'm complaining about the quality of it.

Personally Im loving Hotring races. Im doing my best Cole Trickle/Rowdy impersonation and puttin Them in the wall! Dont stress when u get spun out/knocked around. Hotring is designed for you to catch up multiple times and take revenge. Plus Ive already made back all the money spent on my Hotring Sabre....in 2 days of Hotring.

Some real nice cars too.

Not a huge update but whatever

Well for me I like the update as it is.

Aside from the main issue about the vehicle speeds and handling not being correct I really like all the new cars and I like the new hoting tracks as for

me it's finally a chance for me to beat all the tryhards and morons that race around the track the wrong way trying to hit the oncoming cars.

In the long term I suspect it's not the best DLC that has ever been made but it gets respect points for the Vapid GB200 being added as I was not

expecting to see that car in GTA Online.

I'm not a big racing fan but I do like the Hotring races. However they seem to be troll magnets. In most races I've taken part in there are always some douche who drives the opposite way, trying to block and crash other players. Have I only had some bad luck or you sharing the same experience?

Moreover, SSASSS has lots of wasted vehicles with broken handling... Well done, R*

This isn't really an update any more than it's simply a refreshed list of cars to dripfeed. We just got through three months, maybe four, of dripfed vehicles since the Doomsday Heists of December and this is pretty much a continuation of that.

Rockstar had an action packed, fleshed out DLC with Gunrunning, then Smugglers Run, then Doomsday. Back to back to back efforts, new clothes, properties and cars. Not the best ever, but consistent and legimate efforts to keep this well over four year old game fresh. So in my view it wasn't unreasonable to expect something a little more tangible months after Doomsday to kick off the new year properly. Unfortunately that didn't happen and we just got more dripfed cars to compliment the dripfed cars we were getting previously. I don't really count this as a real update because it's so weak.

I appreciate the new cars - everyone does - but I need more than that to keep me here for a longer term. I got on to try the new vehicles out, but ultimately the clothes/hairstyles are the same, the properties are the same, the missions/jobs are the same, weapons, gamemodes, etc. This is an old game with a map that's becoming stale. It would be nice if Rockstar gave people more of a reason to stay invested.

I've been playing GTA quite sparingly in 2018 due to a sense of I've been there and done that. Other games and activities have taken over time that used to go to GTA. Last fall I had these sentiments too, but there was enough content in Gunrunning, Smugglers Run and Doomsday to postpone the desire to jump ship. This "update", if you can even call it that, of a few more cars and a few more random races is just not compelling enough to keep that spark going strong. Far too barebones to make an impact on gameplay.

If you were already playing GTA heavy and often then sure this update is fine. But if you were on the ropes with this game, the latest update isn't going to bring you back. After three-four months of dripfeed and after building momentum throughout the fall of 2017, I'm disappointed Rockstar didn't flesh-out this DLC more. Very short-sighted from a strategic standpoint.

I can barely fill a full bunker over a playtime during one week. This update is nothing but dripfeed and I'm just waiting for new scripthook to play with the vehicles in SP, enough of that restrictions: I have sh*tload of cash and all I got was 1 car for 300k. That's not how you sell cash cards.

I seem to be in the minority of enjoying the update thanks to the hotring races. Really, it's less about the races themselves and just the concept of having a NASCAR styled stock car to race my buddies in. My crew and I had a lot of fun last night running the races and I'm eager to create my own to take advantage of the new Sabre.
