Insult to communism. That's actually not too bad in my books :). Couldn't say it's worse than capitalism, look what that's done to the world.. and gaming, f*cked them both.

now that I've tested a bit more in singleplayer I have to make a small correction

 

the bouncy suspension handling flag still is absolute garbage, but what seems to happen is that the flag gets removed in Online and therefore the cars feel nicer to drive than previously

 

more testing is required on that end...

 

re: discussion of political philosophy, stop it for now, guys, there's better places to do that than here

I tried the Tyrant a little in freemode and also in one of my races and I thought something felt a little different but wasn't sure, the race hasn't a lot of bumps so wouldn't make that much difference there either. It gives a little hope tho of they actually adjusted some of the values

You know, at first I was actually in favor of the new advanced flags, after all, even when seriosuly flawed, those were meant to remove curb/kerb boosting, which is a good thing IMO.

 

But now in this new update, not only they didn't tweaked or fixed them at all, they also added them to the new cars again, condemning them to irrelevance thanks to their gimped performance.

 

So now I changed my mind, remove them, I want my cars to feel actually fast.

 

And while we're at it, remove the downforce value too, it's stupid that only a few cars have them and the rest not, all or nothing, have some consistency for f*cks sake.

Well US imposes several heavy economic blockades to Cuba for decades now and that didnt mean that there are kids starving on the streets there, like we have thousands here in Brazil. Not to mention they are all highly educated. Also public healthcare isnt a concern either. I mean it must make you at least think about it IMHO. But yeah lets keep the political talk away from here. Just wanted to point that out otherwise it would just go by.

 

So do we know if every vehicle of After Hours is affected by the flags or just a handsome?

also, here's some hot news fresh outta my testing

 

so, the Swinger has two new handling flags (in addition to all of the previous ones)

one of the two new handling flags has the effect of making it have an absurdly long 1st gear

like, it only changes into 2nd gear at, like, 66 mph or so

Grand Theft Auto Online - Engine Limit Flag Removal Petition

 

Edit: The problem is it can't be found by google or on the change.org site yet, because it needs at least 100 ppl that signed it until i can be found at all. It's only this link that is published yet, that's the only way to sign it. 

 

So please 97 more ppl that sign it at least then there is a small chance. :D

Or they wanted the cars to handle more realistic, but it doesn't make sense to only do it on the newer cars.

 

Everything before the SSASSS was all right and now this sh*t since march, still wondering why they did that.

 

Would be nice if Rockstar would share their opinion on this.

A longer 1st gear makes sense for old cars. This is interesting.

 

Too bad to achieve it they broke several cars.

 

I hope they manage to tweak everything or even remove the flags like you guys are petitioning. I still wish to do burnouts with my Ellie someday you know.

more testing results...

 

the Scramjet also has weird and extra long gears, to such an extent that the only way to make the car shift higher than 4th gear (when upgraded it's got 7 gears) is by using the rocket boost

It only makes sense when the car has 2, 3, or 4 gears.

 

The majority of cars in GTA, including the vintage cars, have 5+ gears.

Yeah I guess you’re right, but it would make sense to have some cars with only 4 gears imo

Oh yes I agree. And cars do indeed have different numbers of gears in this game. Point is that the Swinger is still wrong. It shouldnt shift into 2nd at almost 70 mph lol.

FYI the upgraded Swinger has 6 gears.

the gear shift points are at 66.6 / 90.5 / 108 / 118 / 119 mph

 

the upgraded Scramjet has 7 gears with the shift points being at 51.6 / 93.4 / 114.8 / ??? / ??? / ??? mph

Well a big ass 1st gear kinda explains why it takes off so slowly.

We’ve been able to force downshift this entire time. It just didn’t actually do anything but slow down while sounding like you’re bouncing off the rev limiter. Was the comment any more specific?

No it wasn't more specific. I assure you I am aware of what the cars do now, I mean, do they act as if the flags are not enabled in races?

I can definitely assure you that the flags still work in races, I used my Tyrant in a stunt race a few days ago and everybody overtook me during a downhill section because of the speed limiter

 

I can also assure you that "double clutching" definitely does not work in freemode

 

Gonna try doing it in a race now, gimme a few mins

 

Yup, definitely not working in races either, it just kills the engine
