Vote Kick (Minor Rant)

My first post on the forum, and most likely a controversial one thatll get some people rolling their eyes at me. Before I get into why I dislike vote kick, please note that A. I do recognise why it exists and B. I also realise it improves the game in some respect.

 

My main beef with vote kick is simply how easily it can be abused. Granted, it should be easy to get rid of griefing or bad players, but theres no moderation in the feature. I constantly search for empty lobbies for CEO work, especially when Im selling my products. Almost every time I join a lobby thats empty, I get people who want me kicked. This has happened during shipments Im moving into my warehouse too. Whats worse is that you get BS points for doing nothing but minding your own business. When you cant contact the player to initiate a truce (perhaps youre on a plane or getting chased by merryweather), I feel like the feature was added without any sort of control for both parties. I have no say in getting kicked. I either abandon my mission and lose progress or I stay and get kicked and lose progress anyway. I can definitely see its upside, but Im constantly finding myself seeing the downside. Anyone agree?
