Is it impossible to get a world record in a solo race?

Last year I got a world record racing by myself, however it did not count and I still don't know why. I am determined to try again with the new cars if I am able to get it in a solo race. I do have a video of me beating my own time that was already the world record, if anyone can figure out why it didn't give me the award it's right here

Today i got the "New World Record" thingie too in the new Races. Its maybe a bit buggy le bug

I believe it does not count in point to point races. It must be rockstar created race with multiple laps and you have to beat the best lap time.

No only if you are the winner of the very first race ever. After that you must beat the best lap time. Sometimes social club takes a while to update but it shouldnt take 24 hours. No only if you are the winner of the very first race ever. After that you must beat the best lap time. Sometimes social club takes a while to update but it shouldnt take 24 hours. Maybe if you were lucky you had 1 hour after the races became available before the times got updated. There's an award for it right? You know in pause menu under stats? It's says I've got it, but f*ck knows how.
