I tested this thoroughly. It has no affect on your PVP KD ratio still. Even though it says that the person got the kill when you EWO, it does not change the freemode score at all or count towards their KD. Also, explosive use to suicide remains unchanged.

Yeah, it looks like rather than negatively affecting your K/D, it positively affects their K/D by crediting them with the kill.

 

So if you were in a Tryhard crew, you could artificially raise each others K/D by allowing them to shoot you once, then EWOing. Your K/D wouldn't go down, but theirs would go up. Switch back and forth as the EWOer and you'd have a high K/D in no time

There are plenty of other ways like using the Lester or the contact mission invite.

And of course, passive mode still works and can be enabled mid fight. And if players are hunting in a pack, they can use the CEO-invites to enable and disable passive mode rapidly without any cooldowns.

I placed a bounty on a passive jet guy. I f*ckered up his jet with pyro guns and he ewos. I got a notification that he did, in fact, ewo. I also got a notification that I claimed the bounty. He left immediately so I'm guessing the game told him I killed him. Trololol

Many people was complaining about suicide fest bs, so rockstar finaly heard it, but problem that most just mentioned EWO out of lazyness or stupid. Now I guess, we must bitch more towards any suicide and ofc passive mode. I've sent them e-mail previously, gonna do it again.

I think them patching this is a stupid move considering EWO helps you when you are getting teamed up on by 4 or more people. Besides patch this its not like we don't got others ways of suicide like sticky bomb or rpg. Also BST and armor is completely broken as they still 2 hit you.

Actually fight. Or go passive, which is probably what you should do anyway if you're that averse to getting killed in this game.

 

Big groups of people - I'll use an Akula if they have jets/other means of stopping my Hunter. Usually the Hunter otherwise.

I don't think this will end tryhards and their EWO ways, purely because of sticky bombs apparently bypassing it. But it's a big step in the right direction, and may just be the beginning. Sounds like its put an end to vehicle suicide at any rate.

Has anyone looked to see if their "deaths by players" stat increments when EWOing? That's the half of the KD ratio we're interested in after all, and should change near-instantly.

Instead of some rather stupid suggestions i read here to fix ewo, i say remove it from the interaction menu and leave it in the options. No tryhard will hit pause, go to online, scroll down to options and chooses the easy way out there.

Still 4 pages in and we don't have a clear answer, and a lot of contradicting infos. Before looking at your KDR, look at how the players killed and killed by players numbers are affected in your stats.

No, but I was at a party, and I told a girl that my GTA K/D was 6.4 legit and her panties literally disintegrated on the spot. A high K/D is like opening a can of Thong-B-Gone.

 

Also, if you've got 4000 kills/deaths under your belt, 10 deaths (EWO or otherwise) aren't going to have a palpable effect. What's more, from what I understand, the change to the EWO penalty only takes affect if you kill yourself after you've taken damage from another player. So standing there offing yourself (like the sad, sad individual that you are) isn't going to do anything but make you appear even sadder.

Just make sure you have sticky bombs set on your weapon wheel and double tap left on the d-pad. That's how I EWO in situations where I'm fighting multiple tryhards. It's the fastest way for me.

 

Also I always make sure I have an open heist invite so I can teleport out of there when sh*t really hits the fan.

 

I was fighting this tryhard yesterday and every time I got close to him or managed to put a bullet in him he EWO so the EWO tryhard is still going strong.

sonny evans became such a horrible creator. the title and description are full of bullsh*t, ewo was not patched. it was changed. this won't change anything, no one uses ewo anymore these days. tryhards will never disappear no matter what c* does.
