Hotring racing is a cluster f*ck of bullsh*t.

I mean, I'm not much of a racer but I can appreciate it occasionally, plus I wanted to unlock the liveries for the hotring sabre.

I load into a full lobby and I'm aware of contact being on and the f*ck wads pitting and all that, but I swear this wasn't even racing, this turned into pure demolition derby.

My eyes were set on the prize of first and I got it after 9 laps of avoiding parked cars and about 4 other players driving wrong way straight into us racing normally. On the 10th lap second place is now on my ass and about to pass me cause of slip stream but instead pits me and knocks me back to 11th place. Ugh, f*ck.

Another 3 laps goes by and I manage to gain first again, this time with a fair lead since most of the full session has turned into chaos.

Lap 18/20 now and still first, nearly 2/3 of the lobby is now f*cking around and smashing everything in sight. As I'm approaching the line, a guy driving the wrong way hits me perfectly so it knocks me off the edge, causing me to fall to my death and also put me back to 9th place. I quit the race lol f*ck the liveries.

Host as non contact and collect the money!

The problems with contact racing could be easily resolved if they would just start ghosting any cars that don't hit the next checkpoint in a certain amount of time. Parked, driving the wrong way, or generally trolling? No problem, you are now in your own non-contact race while the actual participants carry on without you. I can't imagine how bad these Hotring races are, and don't plan to find out.

Idk how I feel about this one....I might buy the entity, smallest update Ive seen usually 4gb this is only little over 1gb

Updates have never been anywhere close to 4GB, the most was DD with around 2.7.

 

1GB represents everything in this update, including the drip feed. Not just the stuff we got today.

 

790.1 MB on Steam (FWIW).

Tried Hotring with a couple of crew members hoping it was better than stunt racing...it's garbage and boring.

 

I have no garage or hangar space either so despite the lovely new cars this update does literally nothing for me.

I'd say this is the worse since Beach Bum... no strike that, Beach Bum was better.

 

Dripfeeding the only two things of worth to me.... Dominator and Sea Sparrow.....

 

 

If I wanted to race, I'd be playing f*cking Forza or Mario Karts! This is Grand Theft f*cking Auto, all you racing fans need to f*ck off and let us do some crime!

Racing was always a staple of this series and this series actually started out as a racing one before adding the crime bit to it.

The rest really don't interest me much and I can't really explain why (except the supers because i have never really been into them).

Some measures to penalize rammers, trolls and generally bad drivers is long overdue and would improve the racing experience. Time penalties or enforced rev limiter after an offence would be good.

Just looking at the Cheval Taipan you would think this car is going to destroy all comers. Kind of like when the Vagner came out. I cannot state how disappointed I am with the performance of this car. The Coil Cyclone was faster. The Penetrator I sold over a year ago was faster. This car would have it's hands full with an Adder. No kidding it is that slow.

 

Broughy tested it and the only super that has slower lap time than Taipan is Bullet. It's that bad.

I honestly can't remember the last time I was this disappointed with a car, or rather just struck with amazament at how slow it really is. Didn't they test this at all?

 

And I was right in making the assumption that the Taipan would be mediocre to say the least, even in the sports category. Thing is it doesn't even handle well, so there's an awful lot of mixed crap in that bag of a car. I'm gonna pull it out of my garage now (yes, literally pull it out), and show all my friends what a piece of sh*t it really is.

 

The car is totally f&cked and the Entity XXR is not much better. I'm going to keep them for a couple of weeks in case they fix them but after that no way. I cannot believe the money I spent today on this garbage.

I'm quite dissapointed with the update.

Don't get me wrong the cars are pretty decent, except that hideous frog looking thing called pegassi tezerac or something.

 

But...

The new races!

1. If you don't own that bloody car that, f*ck knows why, is the only thing you can use you are sh*t out of luck. The people who do own it (and upgrades) just pull away as if you would be driving a freaking faggio.

 

2. They are every rammer kiddies wet dream.

A slight tap on the rear? Say bye bye grip!

What, you are drifiting sideways because someone ramed you? Well to bad, your car is now a f*cking helium balloon.

 

Despite that, the lack of additional garagespace just pushes the update into a deep pit. How am I supposed to buy these cars without a place to put them? I can open up one space by selling my ruston but there are atleast 5 cars I really want, just in this update.

 

Overall, 4/10. Not even the supra, the mini and the focus rs can save that.

I find it wild that people don't have enough garage space. I don't have enough cars to fill my garage space! I would need 50 cars or more I assume. I simply don't find that many cars I need to own. Bunch of you got your hopes up for more garage space. That's pretty funny to me.

I just don't care about cars that much.

Some of the cars I have never leave the garage and might as well be sold off.

I use the Stromberg, the Oppressor, and the Kuruma and they fit all my needs in game.

Not too impressed with the supers, but I like the bloodring, and absolutely love that GB200. I have a custom off road track bookmarked that I like to test new cars on. The GB200 was the most fun I've ever had around that track.
