I just noticed new weather in races. Current, Bright, Raining, Smog, Clear, Clouds, Overcast, Thunder, Foggy. I hope this is available in missions too.

I just said last night, that they couldn't possibly make more races containing stunt track props and how they have already tried everything from tiny racers to transforms, but I guess I was wrong.

So I just spent about 8M on new vehicles. The new Overflod Entity XXR and the Cheval....raced them in traditional stunt races...Wall Climb and Double Loop and got my butt handed to me by Zentornos and Vagners. The Cheval is not even competitive. Was having a hard time beating low ranked players in non customized Neros. I placed 2nd to another Entity XXR in Double Loop. Next race I used my Nero Custom and destroyed the same field of players.

 

Very disappointed in these new vehicles performance but they are really cool looking.

 

Don't sell your Vagner or Nero or Zentorno if you want to win races.

 

I also bought the stock car and one of the new sports cars but haven't tried them yet.

A nice surprise and some interesting cars too, but as a day-one player with a huge car collection this is a real kick in the nuts for me. Instead of buying all the cars and testing them to my heart's content, I'll be carefully picking through my collection (again) and deciding what I don't 'really need'. Fun well and truly spoiled, thanks Rockstar.

 

How can Rockstar release up to 15 new cars and NOT give us any extra garage space? Is this yet another tactic to get us to sell dozens of well-loved vehicles at a 50% loss? Of course, but people with huge collections don't usually have in-game cash problems and are not typically microtransaction orientated, so it makes no real sense, other than it being shoddy implementation aimed at casual players instead of at the fans.

 

There's no point asking Rockstar to do things properly, and this is only an interim update after all, plus there are plenty of new racing modes on offer, but I'm still rather whimsical about GTA online and wish it was deeper than it is.

 

And in the words of the Rockstar Newswire itself:

 

"A car connoisseur such as yourself knows you can never have too many to choose from."

 

Car connoisseur my ass, as there's nowhere to store them.

Not sure about dripfeed, by as a day one update it's a no-go for me. Not a single vehicle that interested me in the slightest, absolutely none. I got Fagaloa just because of surf board as a homage to SURF crew, where I used to be a member in a previous life. Nothing further.

 

Oh, Grid, cheburek = чебурек (рус). In this context that's a derogatory term, kind of racial sometimes used to describe the drivers of these ladas, mostly if they're from southerns parts of Russia. But there could be another meaning, I'm not into Russian culture anymore, I'm basically a foreigner these days, I feel estranged when I'm visiting. So maybe more informed lads here will do more to get you up to date. Still no idea who may purchase this turd on wheels, though.

The Sea Sparrow sounds good! I've heard it might have missiles, so it might actually be a good purchase.

 

I'm happy R* didn't outright make the Heavy Revolver MK2 with HP rounds a 2 hit, but just decreased the range.

 

Flares on the Avenger?!?!? F*ck yeah! I'm going to eat up all those SR vehicles without any cannons now xD

Pretty obvious they are starting to push people into rdr2. You know when people told me they would do 2013 style updates I was happy, those updates included a bit of everything : cars, clothes, missions, deathmatches, actual races etc.. and the best thing is that they didn't take 90+ days to get released nor the sh*tty dripfeeding.

I don't see myself ever picking up any thing else made by this company.

Bought the XXR. Will most likely wait for sales on the others. I wasn't overly impressed by it. Drove my Nero Custom and the XXR for a little while and noticed no significant difference. I am no driving physics expert though so who knows. XXR did grip the road a little bit better.

 

I was hoping for a little more meat to this update rather than just a racing style and new cars, but some of the cars on the dripfeed look pretty sweet. I will definitely be buying the Sea Sparrow.
