this thing has a whopping 30 custom livery options...

... and no other visual modifications, this means no custom spoiler either

Let me guess 25 of them are camo liveries? xD

Unfortunately it doesn't perform as well as expected

I'd say it has decent top speed, and holds a straight line incredibly well though.

Well, it's a stock car body template, you're not really supposed to physically modify them, it would be against the rules of the racing division.

Cornering in this thing is a nightmare.

They really should've put some effort in to make this car unique. It should grip like a mother f*cker on dry pavement, but be nearly impossible to drive in the rain. These cars don't weigh hardly anything, they have big fat slick tires and tuned suspension, and typically a balanced weight ratio. There's no reason it shouldn't be able to corner.

its traction stat is low compared to some of the other new cars (implying stats mean sh*t)

so much for the f*cking slicks

Pretty sure they weigh about 3,600 lbs. That's not light at all lol.

Stock templates at my track have to weigh a minimum of 2,600lbs. NASCAR cars have a min weight of 3,400lbs, which is pretty close to the weight of many super cars, with 1,600 of that on the right side. So I guess it depends - is the Hotring Sabre a small oval track racer, or a NASCAR series racer?

If Lamborgini's already handle great in this game, slap a set of racing slicks on one and you'd might as well put it on rails. There's no reason the Hotring Sabre handles like dog sh*t - it's just Rockstar's general lack of car knowledge showing itself once again.

Nah I think especially for a late 80's early 90s Nascar it handles appropriately. They are pretty old school setup wise. Solid rear axle, truck arms, etc but you sounds like you know this already.

Right, it's not going to handle like a sports or super car with independent suspension of course, but to handle as bad as it does is kinda ridiculous.

Stock rims can't be painted with the iFruit method, bollocks.

2, Days of Thunder came out in 1990, and this was the Chevrolet stock car template used both in that movie and in real life NASCAR:

1989-1992 Chevy Lumina stock car template. That's what the GTA V Hotring Racer is. Makes perfect sense.

Anybody knows what's the closest livery to this one?

I find this car pointless, and the fact that all 10 new races force you to buy one irritating. Reminds me of when they made a premium race and locked it to a stock version of the diabolus, knowing that everyone had already pimped theirs up at benny's and would be forced to buy another one to be able to race. Premium races nearly died because of that bullsh*t.

Besides being a MUST-HAVE for anyone who want a chance to win in the new races, everything about it is meh or less. imo.

The sprunk livery with race yellow as base color is pretty damn close. Also it's number #45 :D

If we can get a Hotring Sabre why can't we get the Sabre from GTA 4(the one that has the same shape as the Willard Faction and not the Sabre Turbo we have in GTA 5) ?

That's not how GTA Online works, you'll have to direct your wishes towards Rockstar, not us.

Thats what I want to do. I already created a petition and if it has enough supporters I send a mail to R*.

Cutter De Blanc

This doesn't handle anything like a Sabre. Very floaty. My upgraded one doesn't even seem as fast as a Stock Pariah.

First hotring race with it I won though, and it was amusing to hear people shouting about "that f*cking black car" every time I took first

Has anyone done a still-image gallery of the liveries?

Note that the last 6-8 liveries are locked behind Hotring Races.

Race (don't have to win) 20 times and you can be any number you want.

Until I get 16 more races done, I'm sticking with primer-gray, no-livery

It's very late 80's/early 90's and makes sense for two main reasons.

Beware if you're doing the Hotring Circuit Races, people drive like morons (I mean that's a known fact but still). Just did a race where the guy was a couple seconds ahead and instead of the guy near me drafting to help catch up, he kept trying to take me out -_-

Isn't it like that with pretty much any other public race?

Sadly, no. You can just choose any of the 30 available liveries with 20+ races complete. Until then you start with just 20 options and unlock a new one every other race you finish
