I dont think I will ever get over the fact that this car is a sports classic. What. The. f*ck

It's an sports car.

 

It's a classic.

 

It shouldn't be in the Sports Classics class.

I know right, would it have been so hard to just make it fast enough to fit into the top 10 in the sports class? I mean, really, I'd just prefer it in sports regardless of ranking, but they totally could have made it a contender and in the sports class.

 

What makes it worse are these God awfull flags. With those it will end up being stomped by Retinues and 190Zs..

I believe I can explain those mishaps.

 

R* folks aren't real car enthusiasts, they like cars and bikes, they like the racing scene, they like stunts and they can look at a car and create their own design which usually looks great(when they are inspired to do so).

 

But they definitely aren't real car guys.

 

That's how I see it.

Well GTA isnt a real car game. There are tons of real car & racing games out there that have exact replica of the supra.

 

I agree the JC model is bad looking though.

The Skyline is a sports car but a Supra is a sports classic? What the actual f*ck? There's nothing classic about this car, it's right up there with the Skyline as a tuner/sports car.

Same with Vulcar Warrener which it should be Annis {Nissan}.

In GTA 4 Willard Marbelle which it should be Vapid....

Yeah, Rockstar likes to mix a brands incorrectly. :r*:

They could put it in both classes like they did with the Schafter V12 it`s in Sport and Sedans. So why not Jester Classic in Sports Classic and Sport it would make sense.

Schafter V12 isn't in two classes, no car in this game is in two classes. Only the armoured version is in sedans and the normal one is in Sports.

Schafter V12 isn't in two classes, no car in this game is in two classes. Only the armoured version is in sedans and the normal one is in Sports.

 

it is raceable in sports and sedans though.

^ You can't race the normal one in sedans. Only the armoured version, which is a different car altogether.

Cause you can. You can nowaday race both V12 versions in sports and Sedans. I believe you can do so too with the LWBs, but I've had no reason to try this.

Even if (and I'm still not sure if you can) you can race them under both classes doesn't mean each of them are actually sharing classes normally. The armoured is still under sedans and the normal one is still under sports in normal circumstances.

 

Making the Jester Classic a sports classic but allowing it to be used as a sports in races would be even more of a clusterf*ck.

The class only matters to me because of the races i mean else why even think about it, it doesn`t matter.

 

It would be nice if they reworked the classes a bit and put for example GB200, Comet Safari, Tropos Rally, Omnis, Flash GT, Retinue and some others in a new Rally Class they can all compete with each other in a race.

Sorry but that's just wrong, just like putting a Supra parody in the Sports Classics.

 

Definitions vary, but usually the consensus is that in order for a car to be considered a classic, it needs to be at least 30 years old and be of significant importance for the culture of the country it was released in.

 

Some folks also believes that any car with a OBDII ECU system automatically rules it out to be classic.

(I find this a little bit stupid, but whatever)

 

Therefore, you can rule out the Elegy and the Jester from being sports classics as both are based on cars that aren't that old.

Honestly the whole class system is broken beyond repair. But the Elegy and Jester both are important both in culture in rl and in the Gta universe but i think they should still both be in Sports as they arent rly that old.

Yea bro they were comparing it to the Jester Classic. Both cars should be in the same class. If the Elegy is in Sports why isnt the JC as well?

I agree with this 100%

 

They already screwed up naming the modern NSX a Jester, so logically the old NSX should be a Jester Classic.

 

The Supra could be called Karin Saikou, for that Midnight Club reference only the real Gs would catch.

Rafae - I think at some point they changed it so the regular Schafter V12's could be used in Sedan races as well, and not just the Sports class, even though it's branded as a Sports car.

 

DangerZ0neX - I would not be surprised if they bring back the original NSX, but with a completely different name. Ironically, I kind of thought they were going to do that to the Supra.

 

The way I see it, no cars from the '90's should be in Sports Classics at all. That's why I always thought the Ardent and the Infernus Classic being in Sports Classics was odd to me. I always thought that Sports Classics cars should be manufactured no later than the '80's (and I know that some of you will disagree with me, but that's okay). That's also why I thought it was weird that the rally cars from CS were classed as Sports and not Sports classics. If the Jester Classic could also be used in Sports car races (which I doubt), then that would be great, especially since the Stirling GT can be used in Sports car races. I want more vehicles to be available in races outside its classes, like the rally cars in Off-Road races, the Buffalo in Muscle, etc.

Ideal solution:

- Dinka Jester Retro Custom (or some NSX-ish all-consonants thing), based on the NSX (with a bit of Nissan MID4 II as the secondary influence).

 

- Karin Excelsior (because Excelsior/Supra works in the same way as Ardent/Esprit), which is that Supra/Celica mix I've mentioned before.


Both in Sports, not Sports Classics - because something that was still in production as recently as 2002 isn't a 'classic' car in *that* sense. :sigh:
