Fixes

Brake light no longer floats with the boot open. (The problem was where it was placed in the hierarchy.)

Brake lights no longer tint with window tint.

Front left headlight normal flip (Thanks 13stewartc for the help.)

 

New things

Engine swap!

Round headlights

Gauge textures

Positioned the reverse lights

Steering wheel (same, but no longer paintable)

 

Still more to do but it shouldn't take too long now (I hope).

 

Middle brake light works now.

Branding it as Karin breaks the lore even more knowing that the modern HD era Jester is made by Dinka. R* f*cked it up not giving the vehicle a different name (it would also leave a spot for the NSX classic from SA to return as the real Jester Classic) but trying it to fix it this way doesnt help much IMO.

R* already broke the lore by making GTA V's Jester an NSX. Besides, it's not unheard of for a company to hand a model off to another. For example, Infiniti now owns the Skyline rather than Nissan. Now I know Nissan owns Infiniti but perhaps in the GTA universe, Karin owns Dinka.

Still can't get over how flat and featureless the bodywork is, aside from all the other issues (like the lack of decent customisation, the model errors, etc.).

 

Looks like someone cut the headlights and wheel arches out with a craft knife - again, my new go-to word when it comes to 'how to do that stuff right' is hemming:

God, this thread is heart wrenching to look through. I've never seen so much community uproar over one single vehicle. I don't think they could've possibly f*cked this up any more than they have. Everything is wrong with this car.

 

It's not released yet so, in theory they could take some time to rework it before it's out. But, they won't. They never have & never will, any other dev would, but not R*, because they don't care. As long as this sells even one Shark card (it will), then they won't care. At the end of the day, they'll profit off of this travesty & that'll be that.

 

Maybe if they'd properly update their game, not have sh*t just sat in the files for months, or, I don't know, PLAY TEST & FINISH sh*t before they shove it out of the door...

I'm aware they are in the game and not related. It was just an example, but it still proves my point. Car manufacturers don't work in GTA like they do in real life. So perhaps in GTA's universe, Karin (Toyota in this case) owns Dinka (Honda), and Karin passed the Jester model to Dinka. That would be the best way to explain why we have a Supra that eventually becomes an NSX.

They were actually planning to map it for liveries.

 

I just hope that they will wake up Benny for this travesty and fix some things about it as well as add proper NSX just like they did with Infernus Classic=>Torero

Highly doubtful they will ever add any car to Benny's. Too many glitches.
