Anyone else really proud to not have used any money glitches or exploits?

After seeing hefty price tags on all items in the game, I regret I didn't do enough money glitch back then.

The people who use glitches and other cheats are losers.

To be successful at a game you have to play it well. Shortcutting might get you more money and pay for whatever but you never earned it and you will never have the same appreciation for them that someone else who earned the money and bought it would.

Obvious troll post is obvious. That would be like saying everyone who doesn't do dupe glitches are a bunch of trilby hat wearing neckneards living in their mum's basement using video games to define their self worth. Or something liek that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway excuse me. The forced update this morning means I'm trying >9000 different workarounds for the glitch they patched. Probably 100% don't work. But I'm gonna be working all day to find a new one. So yeah, you earn what you earn, I'll earn what I earn, bet I earn a lot more. That's all I got lol. Play on.

Nope. I recommend everyone to take advantage of glitching before they figure out how to kill duping/glitching permanently. Never having to worry about money again is pretty sweet.

I don't agree with his first sentence but the last paragraph I completely agree with. There is a sense of appreciation when you have to work at earning the good stuff that you don't get when money is freely available.

Well, the character glitch before the Heists update patched it set me up pretty good for that DLC.

As someone with ill-gotten gains, I take pride in the fact that I can purchase anything from the latest DLC at a moment's whim. All without having to grind or run a playlist first, crates, import/export, whatever to do so.

All this talk of a sense of accomplishment, earning things the hard way, blah blah just sounds like things grinders say to feel like their time wasn't as big of a waste as it was. Sure people on GTAForums look down on it, but when you're live in game, are you preoccupied with what GTAForums thinks of how you acquired new content? Lol y'all gotta get over yourselves.

I think it's a 50/50 split on here, it's certainly more accepted than I thought it would be.

If playing with friends, having a laugh etc is a waste of time then yes, I wasted my time. Personally I saw it as fun and when the fun stopped so did we.

I'm actually so proud of doing glitches that a while ago, the game has apparently patched a method I used to make money indirectly and I looked for an alternate way to glitch the money. Friends aren't playing GTA anymore, and not even acquaintances. And I'm not gonna rely on any of the heists to make millions now.

The game has become like a part time job. No regrets on all the millions i got from modders.

The game is rigged to make players spend real money on sharkcards.

The loser in this case are the people that legitimately play the game now.

I've not glitched any money or cars. Not proud of it though.

I've been playing this game since June last year. I've grinded my ass off. I have earned 116mil and have spent 99mil and am sitting at level 203.

If I found a solo glitch I would do it because, even in the 9 short months I've been playing I see how C* operate.

They Ave one goal and that is to separate you from your IRL money, even though you already spent nearly 50.00 for the game.

If they fixed the main issues it would be different, but they're not interested in you having a fun game playing experience. At all.

I made my money from illegal street races, robbing banks, etc. Hard to say I got it the "right" way.

It was pretty hard to avoid money drops on the PC during the first year. I doubt anyone on PC managed to not get given free money during that time tbh.

I did manage to keep my account clean from all the BS in the first year.

All the money I accidentally got from cheaters in the first year on PC (2015) were reported to R* and removed eventually.

The game looked different, I was excited to built my empire in a legit way.

Even today I have zero tolerance for the mod menu scum. I'll rather glitch myself than accept their "presents".

Especially after Doomsday Heist update money drops become very rare.

I actually kinda miss those modded miniguns that shooting money bags instead of bullets, lol.

I never used any glitches or exploits, on one hand I'm kinda proud of it.

On the other hand the only reason I never used any of them is that I'm always too stupid to make them work...

Wouldn't say proud but yes I do enjoy the fact that I don't cheat at the game in ways that give me the upper hand. All my money has always been legit, ive had opportunity to glitch with friends for millions and free cars I always declined. Also wont use fighting glitches, I actually blocked some idiot on my friends list who kept bothering me to do god mode with him, just not for me.

Glitching is lame, I mean do yourself but I have as much money as many glitchers, total income of almost $500 million legit earned in the game.

All legit.

Plus many achievements that glitchers will never get.

It's one thing to get an advantage against the CPU. It's designed to cheat. But, if you need an unfair advantage over someone else, in the same game, to feel relevant or superior, or so your never put in a position to feel like a loser and have your wittle feewings hewt, you have inferiority problems. This includes money glitching under some lame guise.

Welcome to the participation trophy generation. Doesn't matter how much you actually suck, the only thing that matters is that you feel good, and like a real winner. 😉

It's more than pride for me. It's self-respect. I am a real gamer and a real human being with honor.

It's not pride. It's righteousness. I'm not proud about it, because being proud would imply that I've actually done something good. No, I'm just playing the game as if I'm not a cowardly piece of garbage who has no self-respect and who is an embarrassment to my family and friends and the legacy of video gaming.

One who cheats and glitches simply cannot count himself amongst the real gaming population. The cheaters and glitchers are degenerates who are literally a mutated sub-species of real humans and gamers.

Cheaters and glitchers are the dirt that real gamers walk on.

I have worked hard for everything I have. I did crate drops, grinded away, I've logged over 5k hours into the game. I have login bonuses, I bought limited time vehicles the first time they released and etcetera..but I have also duped and done glitches.

I have pride in things I've gotten legitimately, or worked for..but not having to worry about money for a little while because of duped cars, it sure is nice.

I still slave away on the game doing things if I'm feeling masochistic though..

To each their own.

Started out on Ps 3, after 6000+ hours total played i have never used glitches, cheats etc, i couldn't care less what other players do, i would feel dirty, tainted and without self respect if i resorted to glitches & cheats. :barf:

On my new account I'm glitching heists, just because I can't be bothered with the Bunker research. That stuff is killing me for real, so I just made about 5 Mio with PS glitch and Act II glitch in about 2 hours.

Its still white-washed and minor. And I don't care about peoples judging, I won't grind IE to fast track those fake techs. Imagine the sh*t amount of High End cars I should lift/bring back to warehouse/export in order to buy a lame gun tint, upgrades for Oppressor/Karin Technical/vehicle paintjobs/50 times Holo sights, 50 times Heavy barrel... Jesus no.

11Mio of bunker reshearch, thats like 110 cars+ 110 Headhunter. I just don't have time for that.

I've never used any glitches, nor duped cars. The only thing I'm guilty of is kicking myself into a solo public session every time I was doing any freeroam activities. I don't consider it cheating - it's more of a dirty trick used against R*'s incompetence and their own dirty methods encouraging PvP and giving both tryhards and real cheaters to ruin other people's gaming experience.

With profits from I/E already being underwheming (80k for selling a 1M car), yet at the same time being the best way of grinding money in the game, I see no point of trying my luck and wasting my time avoiding Oppressor/Hydra kiddies or reaching my warehouse just to see its entrance is blocked with some cages spawned by mod menu scum.

So technically I've earned everything legit, the way I was intended to, at the same time avoiding any risk coming from lack of proper anti-cheat and push of pointless PvP in public sessions, turning them into constant warzones. Funny thing, R* wiped out 600k of my hard earned money once, and I'm not sure if I got my 1M back for buying two "free" Hermeses for both of my characters last year. So yeah, when you're punished for playing clean, you know something's wrong.

That being said, if I lost all my money, doesn't matter if by buying new vehicles or what not, or due to R*'s wipe, and had no time and will to grind it all over by doing repetitive tedious jobs, I probably would consider duping or glitching, but it'd be the very last resort. I want to avoid it, though.

Why not just post the link or at least say Se7ensins since it's pretty much no longer taboo to glitch?

So much so. I mean, going by some of this thread alone. People would be forgiven for thinking that playing the game is just wrong!.

Lol. Amazing how a forum for hard-core fans accepts it all so. Hell, even my stance has cooled. Weird times.
