Anyone else really proud to not have used any money glitches or exploits?

Ive gotten my money through grinding (over 100 days in playtime) and also taking advantage of whatever faulty code allows for exploits.

 

Dont have the time nor the desire to dedicate hours grinding just to afford one thing.

I’ve made around $400 million, all legit save for a couple million on the Pacific Standard finale glitch.

 

Not sure if I even consider that dishonest, seeing as we still had to do the mission and Rockstar knew but didn’t seem to care.

 

I definitely understand why people would glitch and find other money cheats. Rockstar only encourages it the more they release outrageously-priced items.

I play "legit" because I enjoy it. I take pride in getting the job done and playing well but not in some imagined moral high ground for doing so. Hell, the Billionaire Days gave me a big head start even if I never deliberately sought it out, so I'm in no position to look down on the modders, glitchers and card buyers.

Yeah, I pride myself on being one of the straightest players on the game. Never did any kind of money glitch or car dupe. I earned all my stats, stuff and cash.

When I'm in a lobby and someone asks me how much money I have, my usual reply is 4-10 million. Never had anything higher than 10 million at one time but have made about 200 million ever. Their reply is usually like "ohhhhh, wow. I have 800 million from duping, spmp, bought a modded account, etc." I take a small amount of pride in knowing that I was part of that old school videogame grind and purchasing something I really need or want is much more satisfying.

For me yes, it's satisfying just a little bit.

 

Any legit day one player should have at least over $100 million though,I personally hit $240 million this week.

 

It's a 5 year old game guys.

 

Just grind like a madman and stay away from fighting players.

I play for many reasons,

 

-to help other people make money

-because I like the co-op element of the game and teamwork.

-to better my elite run times

-to hit certain milestones in various businesses

and lots more reasons I can't think of right now.

 

didn't want to step on your toes. I share your point of view partly. I like to help out other people making money too (give low lvls all the heist money, 'cause I dont need it) and play co-operatively when possible. I also like to collect cars and enjoy driving around town passively.

But I'm also feeling the urge to f*ck sh*t up sometimes if players get too annoying. for me co-op, car-enthusiasm and stuff is just an encore in this game. If it wasn't for the firefights, I most likely wouldn't play GTA.

I tried glitching a car once, but it failed (was a brick) and the time it took just getting that far made me say "screw it" and went back to regular grinding. lol I can pull in a decent amount of GTA$ just grabbing and selling Sentinel XSs every 48 min. IRL.

 

I've been

fake GTA$ via money bags multiple times in public sessions by script kiddies (2015 was crazy for this--

), been money wiped by R* twice (including losing Shaft Card GTA$ mixed in with it), lost about $80 million to the hospital bill attack, etc. and I'd still rather just grind normally.

 

Have said it before, but if R* ever bans me for using forced solo public sessions, I WILL go rogue in this game with a modded account and probably "mod" menus for my own safety and looking out for other legit players who are fed up being screwed over from both sides.

I glitched money a few times and I don't regret it at all.

 

Why spend all day grinding just earn a few million when you can make triple that amount every 30 mins from duping elegy's.

Back on last-gen, sure. I never understood the point of skipping level and money progression as that's the point of playing a game. Playing fun missions, robbing stores and playing TDM to purchase my first few vehicles and unlock all my weapons was a ton of fun.

 

But now that payouts are bad and the game purposely encourages grinding or buying Shark Cards, I'd happily find new means of making money. I don't want 200 million, but as long as I can afford at least half of the content in the next DLC I'm good.

There's ways around all that. I never do cargo unless I get a lobby to myself. All you do is hop lobbies until it happens.

 

Weekends can be rough, but weekdays are usually fairly quick.

Hmmm let's see if a bank opened it's vaults and started giving away free cash because they were too stupid to test their security and process throughly would you feel proud that you didn't get some of that free money? If Rcokstar used even a breath of Q and A on their game then it wouldn't be a case of hunt the money glitch every time they do a new update, but they are so desperate to jam the next meme filled pile of nonsense in to the game that play testing and Q and A clearly amounts to 'does the monkey wave the banana, he does great get that sh*t out there now.' So my position with dupe and money glitches is that it is part of the game, I am not using any hacks and I am not injecting code or changing code that isn't already in the game, code Rcokstar put in and code that their pet chimp signed off on during Q and A, I am using what Rcokstar have given me to make money and the fact that their incompetence has allowed me to never buy a shark card is something I am proud of.

I haven't done any money glitches in my 4 years of playing and am just coming up to $500,000,000 earned in total (128mil in the bank atm). I'm not proud I have achieved it without glitching, I'm proud I have achieved reaching that amount in general

Gaming is a hobby for me, like anything or anyone, I take personal pride in my loves. To each their own mind. I'm fortunate to have time to burn and friends to help each other achieve things if needed/wanted.

 

I get why folks in this game cheat cash. Shark cards ain't cheap to everyone and this game requires far more time investment as it goes on. Some just don't have the time or money to burn.

 

No excuses for those out to manipulate accounts, PC/old gen, and the 18 months lost when my old account was ruined serves as a reminder that R* are as bad as those players for sweeping issues under the carpet.

I play since 2013 and I'm now rank 300. (Some breaks)

I'm honest, I used 2 Glitches to gain Money. They were simple and easy.

• The "Sad Horn" Glitch in 2015
• The Swap Character Glitch in 2017 (?)

 

does anybody remember the Swap Character glitch? I got money without knowing this glitch exists. I swapped my character alot for money.

 

Besides the use of both glitches I'm clean and play alot with my friends. All contact mission and races are done, all Heists on Elite and Criminal Mastermind are done. We now stuck in the Doomstay Heists Criminal Mastermind.

 

You got alot of Money if you play Heists or Mission and sale cocaine, weed and meth

To be successful at a game you have to play it well. Shortcutting might get you more money and pay for whatever but you never earned it and you will never have the same appreciation for them that someone else who earned the money and bought it would.
