I've never done dupes before, but i'm considering to try because of the busy schedule lately, but the problem is there are no solo method, you need friends, and my online friends are rarely logged in these days so -_-

Hmm...

Well, I'll be honest, even my bicycle racks are full of Elegy Retro Custom dupes, so I'll go ahead and say that I failed the Ethics module of "Playing GTA", but congratulations to all of you who managed to remain upstanding members of society.

Swapping the junk in my special vehice warehouse (apart from ruiner) for special vehices was a blessing, any car/bike with weapons is a special vehice in my book

That moment when you request a Phantom Wedge and a Hydra spawns in front of your eyes ;)

What makes it especially sweet is the no-cooldowns. Mmmh, beautiful, just beautiful

I don't really care tbh, I don't have time to do dupes or money glitches, it's just a game anyway

When I was legit(-ish), I was slightly proud to be so. I wanted to play the game on its own terms and I did so for most of 4 years (I did buy some garbage Pegasus vehicles during the billionaire days with gifted cash that I didn't want, and later made 20 mil or so off the character swap glitch, but the amount I earned through grinding dwarfed those two put together). When my friends were duping, I turned up my nose. When other friends were doing the Pac Standard replay glitch, I would join them for one run and then go do my own thing. Didn't brag about it but I guess it felt good.

I've since turned to the dark side. I don't miss grinding. Things reached a point that I felt like I either needed to find an illegitimate source of income, or quit GTA Online entirely. I like playing with new toys when they add them, I like collecting cars (especially sports classics which are getting more and more expensive), and I want to buy in for new content access without having to get the sh*tty, non-upgraded versions of the properties required. Unless I was going to keep playing 7 days a week and continuing to flog jobs I was sick of 6+ months ago, my enjoyment of GTA was just unsustainable if I stayed legit. And considering I had played a LOT of hours for 4 years almost, I lay that at Rockstar's feet. A player like me should have reached a point of being able to afford almost anything, but they just keep adding more and jacking up the prices in an obvious attempt to make us all broke (and sell cash cards, which are themselves way too expensive for what you get).

I still sell my bunker and do VIP jobs for a lark, but that's it. Otherwise I can only look back at my legit grinding days with the regret of knowing I wasted too many hours for too little return.

I dont regret for one moment the ways I have acquired money , or being in the lobby when I got billions gifted to me back in the PS3 days.

When I'm in a lobby and someone asks me how much money I have, my usual reply is 4-10 million. Never had anything higher than 10 million at one time but have made about 200 million ever. Their reply is usually like "ohhhhh, wow. I have 800 million from duping, spmp, bought a modded account, etc." I take a small amount of pride in knowing that I was part of that old school videogame grind and purchasing something I really need or want is much more satisfying.

For me yes, it's satisfying just a little bit.

Any legit day one player should have at least over $100 million though,I personally hit $240 million this week.

It's a 5 year old game guys.

Just grind like a madman and stay away from fighting players.

Very simple.

Personally, I think its satisfying buying stuff and thinking "man I'm glad I didn't grind for this."

I didnt see this one coming.. Very thought provoking.

Im in the middle. I dont care if youre a glitcher or a day one grinder. Play as you like and dont look for other peoples opinions especially if those opinions lead to conflict or arguments.

I never used any glitches for nearly 2.5 years, but then the combination of several factors (Rockstar wiping money from legit players + The prices get higher with every update + Rockstar nerfing businesses to make them less profitable + Rockstar not taking actions to solve real problems) have influenced my choice towards glitches.

Also, I just realised that though I'm playing that long, I haven't explored the game fully. Exploring the ocean depths, reading the wall posters, observing small details in the level design and NPC behavior - this feels like a completely new game. You don't notice it wihen you have to grind 24/7 in order to be "ready" for the next DLC.

If you are still playing legit, my advise would be - you have to give up on owning most of the stuff in order to enjoy the game.

The bunker and doomsday heists have given me loads of cash. You have to team up with a friend. No need to glitch.

I have glitched a lot in the past. I do not regret it. The billionaire days were the best time for me.

No money exploits, as for glitches/bugs only had one happen and no idea how my bunker glitched out and the supply bar didn't need refilling, It's fixed now though it was cool while it lasted but did take the whole fun out of supply runs while it was still not fixed.

I'd be proud if only they didn't design the game to grind hours just to afford a f*cking modifications for your car. The thing is, rockstar always screw us in the ass by adding paywall, not fixing gamebreaking glitches, sh*tty payouts, etc. So why can't we screw them in the ass too??

Never glitched/exploited/duped whatever, but I'm not feeling particularly "proud" (smug?) about that fact. I simply don't care and find it boring, but I can see why some people get their thrills from finding out these weak spots in programming, until those are patched up, and then start finding new ones. It's as old as gaming. It can be funny, I guess, but it surely can be overdone.

Overall, I don't mind people that use glitches for gain, as long as it doesn't include messing with other people's stuff. If glitching counts as cheating, there are surely far worse cheaters around.

In summary, I don't really understand glitching/exploiting, I guess, but to each their own. I'm not sure either if this is "ruining the game's economy" or something, but I feel there are more decisions re payouts and overall game balance on the developer's side doing a far 'better' job at that.

I have the phantom vigilante lol, apart from the ruiner the rest were junk that i used once. I kept my svw just cars that had no place in a normal garage, oh and one of my oppressors.

The 7 spaces freed up was a godsend for my other garages, any vehice that has weapons should of been a sv from the start. How can a vigilante, deluxo, stromberg, armoured tampa, oppressor be classed as normal vehices, they fire rockets/mortar and fly/swim lol,

My svw got full with full stock that i won't be selling as well, i didnt waste that moment filling that empty space :). Pretty cool walking into there with 40 cars stored and under the covers.

Pride? In a game where pride is over-rated?

I've never needed to glitch, dupe or do anything other than play the game, I transferred to CG with over $60m from playing the game and having nothing to buy (CMM and double money on Pacific Standard helped a lot there).

Never really seen the point in having so much money you don't need to play the game. Bikers update was where I finally spend all of my money (pretty early on). It gave the game new life. I actually wanted to run supply and sale missions so I could build the empire of my MC. I wouldn't have had that if I had money to burn.

I don't know if infinite Biker supplies are considered a glitch. I would say a minor glitch, still had to deliver a lot of packages with Buzzards/Dinghies/MTL Pounder...reached lvl790-ish/363Mio legit(IE, Bunker, legit heists/CMM, crates+ 100 Mio made over infinite supplies after R* wiped some bucks I made from IE, I was mad)

My new account is a very poor guy though, I just got the aircrafts I wanted and blowing up peoples. Still grinding a bit but at a reasonnable lvl, I don't need so much money anyway.

I completly agree about the fact R* is always making those businesses miserable, tedious, always scripting punishment delivery missions, NPC aimbots...but whatever, I won't glitch.

I've never been gifted money, have never used any exploits, nor have I duped any cars. Am I proud of that? No, not particularly.

I wouldn't mind if I had gotten a billion-bounty in the good old days.

I've never cheated in GTA and I've had like $180M at most.

But was it worth it? Well I've gained most of my money with my online buddies, so I guess it was fun at times.

Still waiting for the mansions and other luxury stuff updates.

Im rank 822. 140 days play time and 72.5 million 100 percent legit.

I play xbox one and transferred from x360. I had to hide my game clips and achievements from public view as id get messages calling me out to be a modder or a transferred modded account.

Picked up 1million without my consent on 360. Asked rstar to remove it, they did but gave me 500k as a token for being honest (early 2014)

In all of the years i have played the only glitch i did use was hat and mask and the wall breach at vespucci canals for exec search and most wanted.

Money glitches and other various methods of garnering dirty money was always a topic of conversation in my parties but have never part took.

If the case was that i obtained 500 million and ive only spent in total 382mill id have stopped playing. Earning money through missions and the dlcs that came out was far more fun than if i considered dupe car glitches or money drops etc.

Clean players have a clean conscience and can be honestly open that we are legit players.

Look at all the rich cheaters triggered by poor legit players who were initially triggered by rich cheaters.

I haven't done any money glitches but that's mostly because I'm too lazy to get friends help with them and etc. I don't really judge or blame money glitchers. C* is damn greedy so it only serves them right that some people glitch their cash

Meh. I spent a year grinding and i spent a year duping and tbh I'm more proud of all the glitches I've accomplished. Some are easy, most aren't. Some are almost impossible and some I failed at. In the meantime though I've got a lot of f*cking money in the bank and every cool toy and weapon researched unlocked and paid for.

Sorry gotta run trying a new "easy" solo dupe glitch. Hit it the first time I tried it but I screwed up the second part of the glitch and had to start over. Now I can't hit the timing. I'm this close. But two hours in and I have nothing to show for it.

I play for many reasons,

-to help other people make money

-because I like the co-op element of the game and teamwork.

-to better my elite run times

-to hit certain milestones in various businesses

and lots more reasons I can't think of right now.
