What's with these banned for no reason topics?

Why do I get the feeling that this won't end well for Rockstar?!

 

 

I'm sorry that innocent people got banned. Hopefully Rockstar will fix it asap.

 

 

Nobody is innocent. 10000+ killed npcs and stolen cars. Selling drugs and weapons.

 

Problem is that a lot of people want a "quicker cash" and they do some kind of "system abuse" - like act 2 finale glitch, pacific standard finale glitch, this dupe cars glitch like dupe deluxos to sell it afterwards i guess ... Sometimes I understand people who abuse the system, but also they sometimes get too greedy.

No. It's not for doing hotring races. My bro played a few hours. He started playing TODAY. We did some contact missions with randoms. And the ban pop-up apeared for him. He never joined a single race. I played all new races the two first days of dlc. And he get banned in the middle of a Lamar mission. Me not.

Maybe one of the other guys did something with a mod menu and this afected my bro? IDK.

We both never used cheats. We don't even know how to cheat.

For me this is clearly unfair random ban. I won't play this game for a time cause I don't want to loose my 220+ lvl chrt. and all stuff I get playing since day 1 in ps3. (not a high lvl but I don't have very much free time... this is one of my main games. 34 days of gameplay)

My advice is stop playing GTA until R* fix this sh*t. Or you can loose all your time or money invested.

Or cheat detect is broken or some people can remotely activate something in your acount wich activates cheat detection.

In both cases f**k R* very much.

Never. Its not the sh*tstorm PC is. We have some semblance of balance, but not as visually great as the PC people.

 

I mean, who wouldnt trade steady gameplay for amazing graphics and the absolute possibility of having your account wiped and being banned? Woo, you go PC people!

I doubt they would risk it, all the money is made on PS4 so they treat that like the Golden egg laying hen. Plus they already ran a ban wave through every account on PS4, all the modded account that got hit then and now considered cleaned would get hit again and that wouldn't be fair in any way. For example I had an account money wiped but the stats stayed, I wouldn't be pleased about it getting wiped now that it's no longer has anything modded.

At This point I'm surprised why haven't anyone bring this to court yet. I mean if I'm not mistaken you can take legal action regarding this issue. I hope pc players are doing well and the ban issue fixed asap.

In theory if you use a money glitch you can't be banned, because you're not breaking Rockstar's EULA... Normally if they find you've glitched money they can only remove them. For me it's something related to the tunables, which seems to have a new anti cheat system inside the hotring races, so my advice is to not play them for a little bit

For your information, I got banned twice within the span of a month (I bought a new copy of GTA just to play again cause I REALLY WANT TO PLAY).. First ban I still had no idea what happened but like ppl said in here, R* support was sh*tty and never gave me a clear answer of what I did wrong (Unless you counted those auto reply ban non appeal-able as answer). Though I did admit I exploited a little for using Kuruma in the Pacific heist BUT THATS IT. Other situations fellow members here suggested that I would only deserve a bad sports score.

 

Now, please kindly explain on this recent ban: brand new character, just got to lv. 40, only completed maybe twice for the 1st and 2nd heist (as you may know, low lv guys don't get much help in heist, NOBODY WANTS TO PLAY HEIST WITH THEM!)... All my lv were from constant grinding of missions... I just saved enough money for a bunker and right when I was playing a Fleeca heist, I got kicked and banned... What did I do wrong here that deserve another ban and character wipe then?

Just saying, this may happen to everybody sooner or later... See who will moan and bxtch about it then.

haha to be honest, after dealing multiple times with their so called R* SUPPORT... I may never buy their product again... God knows when will happen again after all my effort on the game being washed...

You've grabbed the wrong end of the stick here, and proceeded to beat yourself with it. A bit of research would tell you this is another faulty ban wave going on. In particularly R* have updated the tunables soon after the last one - so they've twigged something went wrong.

I play exclusively on Xbox one, my third purchased copy of the game, once for 360, once a physical pc copy and this one.

 

After 6 months of fighting with Comcast xbox and rockets, I finally was able to get my Xbox lobbed account playing online and was able to join this grind fest.

 

Last August, I woke up to an email from rockstar telling me I was a proud recipient of a 30 day ban on my PC account. I bought the pc copy in 2014 to play the single player again and under the hopes of all the cool online sh*t being available in single player. It wasn't, I was pissed, and never went back to playing the game. Never even took it online because I lived where internet didn't.

 

Then comes summer 2017 when I get my ban notice email. I log in to social club to see what's going on, and my username and avatar had been changed to something Russian. Well the 30 day ban ended and it popped right to a permanent ban, so tickets to Rochester support explaining everything. That's gets a simple "all bans are final" email. To which I replied all manner of insults including questioning where they ever learned to read and how THEIR sorry excuse for security was somehow MY fault. That at least got them to fix my social club stuff, as you can only change your name and such once a year. My PC account that never went online is still banned, which is whatever, but at least it didn't transfer to console.

 

I guess the point is this bullsh*t has been going on for a long time, and I'm glad I'm not the only person whose been ducked over because of their ancient security and anti cheat methods.

What's really, really irritating is the fact that people with modded accounts are always flying under the radar. I gathered even more intel today, 3 more people with absolutely modded accounts are still able to play. Not a single ban wave affected them, and all of today's three were playing Hotring racers. That's some kind of a sick joke, IMO. 5 people in total with accounts modded from the ground, since day one and not a single one was banned!

Nowdays you can get banned for literally anything. It's a real gambling playing this game.

IF your logic is correct, that only shows how poor job R* is to tackle against modders/ cheater...

 

However, that still doesn't explain why the innocent players should be dragged in and be punished too..

 

Anyway, I said it before and I will say it again, I am not here trying to convince people in forum that I am not a cheater/ modder. You can accuse all you want. Just that at least have a slight thought that there are people who paid as much as you do for the game and took away the privilege of enjoying the game.

I wonder from where some people get such a confidence that Rockstar's anti-cheat system never makes mistakes?! I've seen how GTA Online sometimes glitches so much that I can barely tell the difference between when game itself glitches and when modder is doing something, which is one of the reasons why I have doubts their anti-cheat system works 100% perfect.

 

 

Edit: Just got news from Rockstar support forum that another modder isn't banned.
