What's with these banned for no reason topics?

I'm one of those people affected by this recent ban. I've played legit from the PS3 ,move to PS4 ,and join my friends in PC just pass the 1000hrs playtime in January. I play regularly til the first of March then there is a warning when I start the game, it said that I was banned for 30 days and they reset my character (lv.371). Here's the pic when I hit 1000hrs

 

I've send 5 tickets and get to speak with real person, they said they can't manually lift a ban and I can't do anything about it. So basically if you're banned you can't do sh*t about it and they won't even tell the reason that trigger the ban. Oh and about the progress they won't listen either but you get to keep your shark cards funds (lol).

 

I'm fine with the break but erasing all my progress? that's too much to handle.

I guess your PS4 account is still functional ?

Yup, still working just fine but it was before I gain most of my fortune (mastermind,vehicle garage,bunker).

about an hour ago I got banned for 30days.

 

I am a loyal player from day 1, i played over 6000hours and I hate cheating in online games, I never did that.

 

 

 

There seams to be a massive bug in the ban trigger software.

But you know these days a ban had no actual impact on your account, right? You got a 30 day block and after that everything (except money maybe) was fine? Here we're talking about loosing every-f*ckin-thing we have played for. Special shirts (in your case) cars, properties - just everything for no reason.

 

I really thought you'd act more sympathetically. btw, which menu are you using? (asking for a friend who may need it in 29 days)

I was just banned in the middle of a Hotring race... never cheated... received money here and there like most PC players... Reported my share of cheaters over the last two years and now I get the ban hammer... R* need to fix whatever they f*cked up.

 

It was literally the last Hotring race I had to do to get the last livery and not go anywhere near a public lobby until I have to again... Great job R*!!!

I've been doing a bit of research checking out videos online. Whilst a lot of players were banned during these, some weren't. I suspect it's a spurious correlation in that because those races are brand new people are more likely to have been playing them and are getting banned for some other reason. So far I haven't been able to spot any patterns.

I noticed that on steam GTA V has 50% discount. Interesting that it has a discount today from all days, in the same day when many people are banned. I have doubts that Rockstar suddenly has banned all cheaters. This looks like their anti-cheat system has failed.

Some people were banned doing other things. Pretty sure their anticheat went fubar and is banning people left and right, no matter what they're doing. In my case, it happened during a hotring race, 5 more minutes and I would've been in a solo lobby.

I haven't experienced Steam server issues yet, but I have experienced Rocsktar's server issues, which in specific period were almost every day.

 

As for banning. Great job Rockstar on banning clean players, while cheaters are still free, roaming in public sessions. I don't see a point to play GTAO, when there is a chance I could be banned too someday, despite that I don't cheat and did what I could to avoid cheaters. In fact I think I won't buy ANY games in the future, which has something to do with Rockstar, because they are worse than EA.

 

Right now I am so happy I didn't bought their fish cards and bought GTA V when it had a discount!

Me and my best friend in RL play GTAOnline together since 2013. We play on PC (steam) since the release for PC.

 

Yesterday night I was a bit earlier online than him and did some preps for the act3 heist. When he joined we were buying supplies for our buisnesses (bunker, cocain, meth) - only difference he got another bunker than me. After some talking and chilling, we joined a hotring race to unlock the liveries we had not unlocked all before. Suprisingly we found some guys who drove fair, after a couple of races, the host left and I became host. We suprisingly had fun with a lot of players (about 12 to 20 racers, most cool and fair, when someone was driving wrong direction to troll, I kicked him at the next lobby)

 

After a lot of races we had enough, left to public online, and did bought again resupplies (I wondered that it made hardly a progress). We waited for the supplies to arrive, changed the tuning of our gt200 rally car, highered the suspension to test if it would be better ofroad. Than I made a playlist for us both with some of our favorite players created races and some of our own. It was fun (sidenote: the gt200 with highest suspension is more fun offroad).

 

After we finished the playlist, some loading and than I got the ban screen (banned till april, 23rd)

He did not got banned. He just joined a public lobby.

 

So I got no idea what may cause this ban-trigger bug. We mainly did everything together. There was no race, we did not do together. He is not banned but I am
