Paisan™
I recently did a fresh install of windows, and I have two GTA IV saves backed up, one inside of the other. However when I open the IV folder inside of the original IV folder, is seems to be the same as the original IV. Does this mean I've lost my EFLC save data? Coz I have my IV data. Guest
GTA IV and EFLC should be in C:\YourPCName\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTAIV\savegames
Paisan™
Yes but there is another GTA IV folder already inside the IV folder and I don't know which is which! I have tried both save files, but none seem to work on EFLC! E.G. C:/MyPCName/AppData/Local/Rockstar Games/GTAIV/GTAIV
Guest
That's weird... When you launch for the first time GTA IV or EFLC the game will create a folder (if it doesn't exist) named GTAIV which contains other 3 folders: savegames, Settings and User Music. So if you have another folder named GTAIV inside the main GTAIV folder you have probaby done something wrong. Have you only GTA EFLC or you have also GTA IV? Do you have a save game for GTA TLAD, GTA TBoGT or both? Do you have a black screen with an error before the normal loading screen?
Paisan™
I had save games for all three. No error message. This is inside the GTA IV folder: And this is inside the second GTA IV folder: Edited March 25, 2018 by ClaudeIzABadAzz
Guest
I don't understand why inside your GTA IV folder there's another one with the same name. Both GTA IV and EFLC save the game progress, settings and User Music in the same folder... Quick question: have you ever used XLiveLess?
Paisan™
Yes I've used Xliveless
Guest
If you have XLiveLess still installed in your game directory, it's normal that none of your saves will work! XLiveLess will create a folder in C:\YourPCName\DOCUMENTS. So if you have XLiveLess, try to move from the AppData folder to the Documents folder and see if the game recognize your saves
