Paisan™
So I was doing 100 Taxi Fares. I got to Fare 82. I was just outside of the location. There was a ramp. Keano
Level 11 Paramedic in Portland last week. It was the last set of patients for this level. Was well past the Red Light District, made a right turn towards the hospital, got to the marker and the timer ran out. GTA III can be a dick at the best of times but I wouldn't change this dick for the world. Still though, the game f*cks you over is extraordinary fashion sometimes. In regards to your taxi missions, can you not save your game and your stats will show you only have 18 fares left to complete or is it 100 fares in one go? I know in other titles I've been able to save and continue on with what fares are left but can't remember for GTA III. Paisan™
@SpriteFan274 My bad. You are correct. Too late now, I already quit the game.
Jack Lupino
Yeah. You don't need to complete all taxi fares in Row. What I used to do was save the game after every 10-15 fares in case the game crashes and I have to start all over again. Another f*king annoying thing about III is the rampage icon disappears if I fail and I have to load the game again and again. It's a very painful process. SpriteFan274
I also suggest using a DP Taxi too for the Taxi Driver Side Mission. This way it's quicker... Just a helpful advice.

GTAGuy1995
I managed once in 2015 to do 100 taxi fares in a row but it was very boring and took me about an hour and two tries (on first try I only reached about 50 fares). You can see the screenshot here on this topic: http://gtaforums.com/topic/375702-grand-theft-auto-iii-screenshots/?p=1067719421 Interestingly, on that same topic on last few pages, someone actually managed to do 1000 fares in a row! But yeah, you don't have to do all 100 in a row. You can continue any time later if you stop at 30 for example. No need to restart all of that just for the remaining 18 fares. As for when the game screws you, yeah it has happened to me a few times before. Also recall something bad happening to when doing Paramedic last time (on Android) and was on level 11, a stupid triad fish van decided to run over the last patient (that was in the Triads territory) and I was running out of time, he managed to get up in last few seconds after I was trying to make the stupid truck move that was on top of the patient. I would have been so pissed if this caused me to fail the mission, since I would have to start over from beginning but thankfully didn't have and I carried on and finished Paramedic level 12 after that. For other things that annoyed me on my Android playthrough, I hated how I failed The Exchange twice because the time ran out RIGHT at the blowing helicopter part (the second try it happened, it literally ran out at time AFTER I blew up the helicopter and was going to crash to trigger to cutscene). This was a very dick move of the game and probably happened because I went to hideout to collect the weapons to have an easier time doing this mission but seems like it took more time that way, which is weird since I went as fast as I could with my Banshee to collect the weapons and go to the dam but somehow time went down much faster while I was sniping down all those guys carefully, while on my third try I decided to do it normally with just the weapons dropped by cartel members and somehow I had a better time doing that even if my ammo was a lot more limited. After that I finished the mission with 2 minutes left on clock. Evil empire
The ultimate trainer allows among other things to flip cars on their wheels and to freeze the countdowns, some of you should better try it to avoid some frustrations. As for me it was on my first paramedic mission in Staunton, the yardies were hostile and didn't have the good idea of using a mod so they don't attack me. I'm on level 10 or 11 and seriously fed up with that crappy rubbish garbage sub-mission junk, I'm under the Fort Staunton-Casino bridge, very close to Asuka's condo with some yardies bitches attacking me, I move my vehicle so they don't eject me and to kill them and on the moment I think I managed to get enough away from them a message appears saying I ran over a patient and the mission is over. I was deadly disgusted and it took me several months before I played this fµcking ambulance sub-mission $hit gain. If I remember correctly when taking my revenge I killed enough yardies on that day to fill an olympic swimming pool with these bastards' blood. gtafaninwest
The ambulance and taxi missions alone are why I quit trying to achieve 100% in the 3D universe. GTA_CAT and KingAJ032304
GTA_CAT
There are some rampages where you must be equipped with full armor and health because sometimes you trigger the rampage and no enemies appear. You have to walk around till game spawns gang members, and when they spawn they do it in mass killing or swarming you in seconds. Autoaim sucks so you can't kill them and fail. In other occasions, specially sniper ones, you must pop heads literally, it's not enough killing them. Also when you finish a group you have to aim in opposite direction in order to make more gangs spawn because after killing no more appear. Or well, some sniping spots make enemies stack on the wall beneath you so they get out of sight. About ambulance mission, I prefer not to mention it because I could rant for hours. Keano
I've managed to do 100 fares in GTA III as well but not consecutively. I done 100 in LCS without stopping and unlocked the Bickle '76. Managed to do the required amounts in GTA: San Andreas and Vice City consecutively also. I love GTA V and I really like the way they've made the taxi missions but a nice vehicle for hitting 50 or 100 fares would've been cool. Still have to admit, the timer based taxi missions of the 3D Universe were and still are a blast.

Evil empire
The fact the game freezes when you remake a unique stunt after the 100% completion and the fact you need to remake a unique stunt to complete the Multistorey mayhem mean you are convicted to be f*cked by the game or renunce some things after you 100%ed it unless perhaps using some mods. Lock n' Stock
As far as 100%-ing goes, I remember when I was following a guide with all the Hidden Package locations, and by the end of it I still had one left to go. Basically I had to go through the ENTIRE guide again and recheck every location until I found the remaining one. Turns out I was an impatient f*cker and skipped the video, resulting in me missing one. I recall I had do this for Unique Stunt Jumps as well. Another was doing Vigilante missions in Portland, as I had to cancel the mission and restart it whenever it spawned criminal targets in Leone-controlled neighbourhoods, for obvious reasons. There were also a couple of Rampage missions that I had to use cheats for as I found them nigh-impossible. Thank f*ck that GTA III doesn't penalise you for inputting cheats, unlike later games. That's why i start every vehicle related side mission before Sayonara Salvatore & the Rampage's are pretty difficult i agree, but i went through them all without cheat's. You are exactly right though ... It feel's impossible , but then you get the hang of it each time you repeatedly do a similar Rampage ... I know what you mean by Impossible though because if you go back & do them later throughout the game like.. let's say cleaning the game up for 100% & you go to the Rampage's it feel's impossible to do certain one's because of the gang you are currently trying to kill are hostile toward's you & a certain Rampage also include's sometime's a gang carrying a more higher powered weapon then the one you currently are using for the Rampage ... & I almost forgot , but the Rampage's i had trouble with the most were the one's where you had to get a certain amount of head shot's in 1 minute. Bartleby
What I found most annoying about doing rampages is that if you fail them in GTA3, they don't respawn, so I would have to drive back to the safehouse each time just in case I failed the next one. I don't think they introduced respawning rampages until VC. Edited April 10, 2018 by Bartleby A8ul99 and Lock n' Stock
