The actual main story is pretty scant. Most of the missions in the games are basically separate little strings. Working for the Cubans and Haitians. Running errands for a rock band and bikers. Taking care of business at a taxi depot, a movie studio, a club, the printworks. Gun running for Phil. For that reason I actually see Vice City and V being more comparable games than San Andreas and V, because of how much of V is devoted to Strangers & Freaks instead of the main story. Vice City and V are structured very similarly, but I never see anyone mention it. Interesting point about the loose connections of mission strings in both games. I think what differentiates the structure of the games is how the main story in Vice City takes a back seat after "Rub Out" until a specific amount of assets have been made profitable and "Cap the Collector" is unlocked. On the other hand in GTA V, the S&F missions don't interrupt the main story line apart from Tonya's first mission "Pulling Favors". 2 hours ago, Evil empire said: You can't use the rocket launcher to destroy the tanks which is particularly annoying when you see how powerful the police and army are compared to 3 and San Andreas. I can see why the police can be annoying compared to III and SA, but I always found it odd how the military carry MP5s instead of M4s in VC during a 6-star wanted level. For me it made dealing with the military easier in VC while on foot than in III or SA. Sunglasses
The mouse sensitivity on the PC version is absolutely insane, it's very touchy. You can get used to it after hours of playing at least but it's difficult to adjust to after you came from playing, say, San Andreas or III or something. Apart from "Pulling Favors" the S & F missions don't as you say interrupt the story necessarily. However if those kind of missions were around in 2002 I have no doubt the Haitian and Cuban arcs probably would've been candidates for S & F type missions. I've always felt the story loses its edge after Diaz is killed and it should've been expanded much more. I still like Vice City's story the most of the 3D era games, but it's by no means a well written masterpiece. It's serviceable. That's about it. god speed and JPFL

I pretty much see this mission as Vice City's "Wrong Side Of The Tracks". It's not that hard IMO on console atleast, but when I played Vice City on PC I found the flight controls really difficult with the keyboard/mouse. Then again I rarely play games on PC so I guess I wasn't used to it. santosvagos and Fake Lilina
SYㅤGaming
No, we actually think that the mission Demolition Man is tough and I also used to think the same. I still play/mod this game because I just love it, so 1 week ago, I decided to complete the game without using Cheat Codes. So I continued and completed all the available missions and finally Demolition Man was the only mission available! I was just avoiding it, but to proceed in the game, I had to go through that mission. So I just gave it my first attempt, and after planting 2 bombs, I was unable to pickup the 3rd one and in that attempt to pick the 3rd bomb, the P.I.Gs and the construction workers destroyed the RC Copter. I then thought of going and looking up and memorizing the shortest way possible to reach those 4 bomb planting locations because I was more worried about the time running out during the mission. So now I gave my second attempt, this time I fly the RC Heli at a height so the construction workers weren't able to do any damage to it, the P.I.Gs tried to shoot using pistols but the heli survived those bullets! And this time I planted the bombs starting from the Topmost Floor to the Ground Floor. And finally I completed the mission that too with 1 minute 38 seconds left in the timer. Then I realised that this mission is not at all tough, it was just my fear from my childhood till now, but now I feel it's the easiest mission... Another strategy for this mission could be: When you get control of your RC Copter after the cutscene, don't pick up the bomb as it will start the timer, now just go in the building and kill all the construction workers and P.I.Gs and then just look up the 4 locations where you need to plant the bombs, after that go and plant the bombs on those 4 locations which you are already aware of. EDIT: I'm talking about completing this mission on PC. Edited July 1, 2019 by SYㅤGaming
Vega LVI
My biggest issues with VC are all related to the size and layout of the map. For starters, pretty much the entirety of the mainland is an unappealing mish-mosh of concrete and drab colors. I never liked having to trek to the slums of Vice City to visit two of my favorite assets (with regards to both mission quality and profits), Print Works and Sunshine Autos. Although I find the eastern portion of the map to be a particularly gorgeous setting (especially Washington Beach around sunset), I hate how it’s more or less just one long street that runs from the tip of Vice Point all the way down to the southern end of Ocean Beach. The island itself is much too narrow and features some overly simplistic roadways that quickly become tiresome to travel along (III offers more interesting and varied street routes tbh). What’s more is that half of the island’s land area is consumed by the beach to the east. Don’t get me wrong, the beach—in tandem with the glare of the sky and Sun, sand, and texture of the blue-green ocean—make for a beautiful sight. But the beach itself offers absolutely nothing substantial in terms of gameplay (at least VCS added Beach Patrol) and, as such, is entirely too big. The sole bit of actual gameplay the beach offers the player is the RC Bandit race at the Vice Point sand track, which, like all RC-related missions, sucks the big one. jippa_lippa
The only thing I dom't like it's the lack of cursomization for the character. That said, listing this as a negative is a bit unfair, considering this feature was introduced onlly with the next installment, San Andreas. As far as the rest is concerned, I think Vice City is perfect, especially when it comes to the charisma of the characters and the location. A special mention to Vice City Stories, which has the best radio statiopns in the franchise (the DJ intermissions are hilarious).
