Pocket Fox
Does she get dual pistols though? I miss those, as nice as the axe and bow are, dancing/jumping around with dualies was my childhood. HaRdSTyLe_83

trip
We only need one Shadow of the Tomb Raider topic...so merged. Tadah! Yesterday the standard edition wasn't available from the Xbox store. They wanted people to spend big money on the expensive editions first. E: I'm glad I just checked. Downloading now. I still remember the very first game and how crazy it was because it was a chick with boobs. The long story of Laura Croft is great with how she morphed into a strong role model for girls...and morphed into a normal breasted woman. trip
I do love the cinematic experience these past few Tomb Raider games have been. This game is beautiful with its huge sets and great use of intermingling player action with short cutaway camera shots. I also love watching the industry mature with load transitions. Now when crawling through a crevice to hide the transition load you get a bit more story eliments...like hearing people talk and so forth. I recall PS1 games like Metal Gear Solid where characters nodded their head to signify (I am talking), now it's full facial animation that conveys a performance. For PS2 a character would reach a stubby fist over to another character 'take this' (You acquired a flashlight) Now it's as real as ever. A shame things have stalled the past few years with every game wanting to be a live service and MP-centric

Laura Cruz, specifically - and instead of being British, she would have been South American. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind for a more upbeat companion series about Laura Cruz, with her gleefully delivering two-pistol justice to people looting protected sites in her home country, or alternatively doing a mix of shootin' and stealthin' to steal back artifacts from private collections overseas. Cosmic Gypsy
I just watched my mum who is terrible at playing games complete this in 3 days. I gotta say this game is sh*t, it's like an Uncharted wannabe now. I want the old Tomb Raider back where i'm left isolated in some mysterious, creepy ancient tomb and i need to figure things out and there isn't some lame gun fight or scripted event/press triangle now cut scene every 5/10 minutes. Looks beautiful sure but largely forgettable as a game. Edited September 26, 2018 by Cosmic Gypsy Pocket Fox and HaRdSTyLe_83

That's what I'm doing now, all I need for platinum. It's quite difficult, the game itself is not much harder (climbing, fighting etc.), but there are things that makes it extremely hard and frustrating. There are no check point saves, you can only save at camps which makes it very frustrating if you die and have to start over from last camp which often is far away. You can't use survival instincts, so you can't see enemies, collectibles or usable objects like levers etc. And there is no white paint on traversal points. Also, did you even do any of the tombs? The game is literary packed with creepy ancient tombs where you are isolated and need to figure things out. Cosmic Gypsy
Yeah she's still exploring tombs now after completing the main story, all the tombs scattered around the map seem to be like optional extras which is just weird in a Tomb Raider game. She certainly isn't playing on Deadly Obsession difficulty but she completed Uncharted 4 on Crushing so she's played games (badly, even though she completed it on crushing.) And yeah seeing enemies and things like that aren't even things that should be in easy mode, i hate this new trend in games of being able to see enemies highlighted or seeing their silhouette through walls, like wtf? Maybe in some kind of accessibility mode it'll be cool to cater for players with some kind of special need, but otherwise why would i have such an ability? jollythecat
