How many frames per second will I be able to run GTA V?

Question

Posted (edited)

I'm not an expert at computer specifications and I'm aware of the system requirements, I'm just curious as to how fast this will run.

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.40 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating system, x64-based processor

Graphics card: Intel® HD Graphics Family

Also, if I upgrade to 8GB ram how much of a difference will that make?

Because it costs money and I don't want to spend ages setting up the game just to find out, considering how big it is.

Since you don't have a graphics card it will run like a donkey.

Integrated graphics isn't enough to play GTA V - you will need a half decent dedicated card to play at a decent framerate and they are all presently at daft over inflated prices due to all those darn BitCoin miners

You are going to get a better game experience on a console to be honest compared to what you have PC wise.

Moved to PC Help and Support.

Just to toss my 2 cents in, you better get a graphics card and at least 8GB of ram for this. You will get more help here though....

With those specs, you can forget it, not even remotely.

Why do some people recommend him buying a GPU if you can clearly tell from those specs that he has a laptop

Anyway, you won't be able to run it well,I have a laptop with i7 4510u,8gb ram and nvidia 820m 2gb,in singleplayer works perfect for me,40-60fps most of the time on normal with some high settings at 720p,but in online I have 30-40fps with some stutters because of the cpu and ram, these days you need to have like 12-16gb ram to play gta online without problems,I also tried playing on intel hd 4000(integrated cpu,the same as yours) and it was horrible, couldn't get constant 30fps even with the lowest settings.

Right now I'm waiting for the new pc to arrive, online it's almost unplayable for me now.

Because external GPU cases exist that enable connecting reguar desktop graphics card to laptops. its more reasonable if rest of the lap top is ok.

I have a friend with I7 4771HQ and GT740M and works 30-40 fps at medium. It's decent frame rate for this Laptop.

Put a GPU in there and not only did you lost the laptop mobility, you also spent more then building a decent desktop way better then what he have right now.

The razer core v2 costs around 450 and the rog x2 around 500.
