Do you think we will be allowed to use hat & masks at the same time?

It's a very famous trick in GTA online to mix hats & masks, but the various methods get patched when updates are released, then new ones shortly get discovered after the previous ones get patched, they then later get patched too... & so the band plays on, a never ending cycle, the question is not about whether or not R* will allow us to use bugs in order to pull off these tricks, but whether or not we can do it via the menu, I personally think it's time they allowed players more freedom in being creative using various different parts of outfits to create something truly more unique, afterall up until the last update the only way to open the cargo door on the cargobob or the titan was to use some kind of trick to do so, which again was getting patched everytime an update was released, right up until 1.42, where they finally allowed us to use the menu to open the doors on personal aircraft as we do with cars.

You can use the telescope in your apt to easily do a glitch that will let you add what you want to your face. Not patched as far as I know.

 

As for whether or not it will become available on its own. Time will tell but probably no, since they haven't done it yet.

just use the telescope glitch, this one have been around for a while, i think its one of the few ones that seem like they finally gave up and stopped patching.

Yes I know about the methods, there is another where you use the telescope at the pier while catching fire, but the question was not about how to do the glitch/trick, it was about whether or not the restriction on mixing hats with masks would be removed at some point...

Well many thought that about the cargo door seeing as how determined R* were to keep patching it, in the end they surrendered & just made it a feature lol

Well we can wear helmets and some masks already, atleast in freemode.

In heists you sadly spawn without the mask and loose the helmet when you put the mask on.

So I guess its possible that you can wear hats and masks tat the same time in the future. Some things are already possible through glitches, like my Watch Dogs 2 outfit.

Indeed.. I use the fox mask with the thermal goggles helmet, I was rather surprised the ears didn't clip through it.. do the masks change shape slightly to accomodate the hat?

Before, and in my earlier days here, I was one to think if a player glitches clothing, it was an indicator of more potential crap too. I'd had a torrid time at the end of the PS3 days, and I do still believe it is a trigger to be cautious of if looking for legitimate play. But allowing people to dress however, would see less visit elsewhere learning the sh*t that does ruin one's sessions.

 

Who really cares what another looks like, so long as they ain't cheating/making it impossible to play. I only care because I know where folk learn this sh*t, and there's far worse out there than someone looking daft, lol.

My understanding (JAFO-based) is that there are three reasons why R* doesn't allow certain clothing combos:

 

* Items that cause clipping issues

* Items strictly reserved for NPCs that players are not to be role-playing with in free roam

* Items being saved for a future DLC release

It's kinda retarded when you can't mix certain clothing types that should clearly be able to mix. Like the vest and combat uniforms. I could totally pull of a security forces outfit in Multicam, but no. I can't wear the combat shirt with the vest.

I'm quite happy with being able to use my riot helmet with a matching patterned biker mask, look like a legit swat member who prefers aqua camo.

No glitching needed.

 

 

 

I can't see clipping being a concern for as to why R* won't allow full outfit mix-matching.

Wearing those new combat helmets with night vision goggles, with a character who has a ponytail haircut, causes bad hair clipping in the back.

So it's not like R* is uptight on clipping issues in general even with single items of clothing.
