What Platform Do You Play On?

PS3. Yep. Still living in the pre-historic age of GTA V. I kind of prefer it though because from what I've seen GTA V has been updated to the max, too much stuff to keep up with. Though, the weapons/cars/clothing options seem better but I make what I have work. I've always preferred consoles. Had a PS1 and PS2. I used to PC game when I was younger, but then consoles became more interesting to me and I'm more used to them.

As much as I agree that it is updated often, if you transferred around Sept 2015 after the first full next gen only update arrived; freemode events then you wouldnt consider it to be too much to keep up with. This would only be the case if you didnt play the game when each title update arrived.

 

Went from 360 to Xbox one in August 2015 havent looked back. Glad i got to transfer before the deadline.

PC. Used to be 360 and was actually planning on upgrading to the One a couple of years ago when all my GTA friends quit and transferred but real life expenses got in the way. Later on I was able to afford a decent PC after my old one said 'f*ck you' and died so I decided to start again on PC, the first time I was ever able to get myself a decent gaming rig. I did later on get the One and transferred before it was cut off but it was more a kids Xmas present. I've tried to play console again but I've gotten so use to gaming on the PC, using a wired 360 controller (hate the One controllers, they feel so clunky) but also alternating between mouse and keys, that I find it awkward sitting in front of the TV using a console.

Back in the day when the kids were little we had Nintendo and then SNES. I was the parent trying to keep his kids from spitting on the cartridges when they were trying to get them to work.

 

Later on when I was able to buy my own games I got on board the Playstation/Gran Turismo hype train, stayed there thru GT4. Years later my youngest son bought me a reconditioned Xbox for a birthday present or something and I started on GTA and Forza. A few years after it died (like they all do), a co-worker upgraded from 360 to One and I bought his old console along with about 7 games, including a rental copy of GTA5, that I still own.

 

A year later, after experiencing serious console envy here in these forums seeing NG and PC screenshots, I bought myself a One and I've been posting here ever since.

^^ +1. Am actually trying to find/buy a good used A4000D to eventually use the official updates currently in progress (by Olaf Barthel and Thomas Richter) to AmigaOS 3.1--not the quasi updates of 3.5 and 3.9.

Ps3, the idea of paying for ps membership, maybe but my ps3 still working and I missed the player transfer, been on since oct 5 2012. Yea, modders have lowered my level up and down, stats erased, internet threatened, etc etc. this is the thanks I get for bids up to 4, and 6 months in bad sport

PC. Would legit get a PS4 and play in cheater-less public lobbies, if it had a mouse and keyboard. That controller thing just isn't for me.

Where do you PC players play, sat at a desk with a keyboard, mouse and monitor or what?

I couldn’t imagine gaming that way, I need to be reclining on the settee with a 65” TV to look at.

 

You can play pc games on a TV pretty easily now a days; I do it all the time. I couldn't imagine paying Sony/MS a monthly fee to play most of the content in a game I already paid $60 for.

PS3 back in the day, fun days playing only story mode when I didnt have the console connected to the Internet

 

Now PS4 since 2015 (started my GTAO adventure then) and its very cool, the only minus is crap quality of snapmatics done by Social Club after transferring, but I guess Its R*s problem, peace and love for Sony <3

However, if character progress was portable between platforms, I would have changed to PS4 by now most probably, finally start finding some play chums - without the omnipresent threat of hackers.
