Vigilante vs Deluxo

I am deciding to purchase one of these three vehicles and would like your knowledge and aissitance in making best decision. I have an oppressor that I use most of the time but I would like one of three; vigilante, deluxo, and Stromberg. Which one do you recommend I purchased for normal use(mostly pve with occasional pvp)? What are the pros and cons of each?

Thanks for your help

The only reason to get Vigilante over Deluxo is if you do heists often because you can use vigilante in em.

Tho beware that driving a Deluxo in free mode is like saying "Hey I'm a griefer" over the mic.

Yeah, I get that now with the oppressor. I pretty much mind my own business and someone with a new toy or something comes to mess with me.

Vigilante.

It has no special blip, missiles are a bit better than deluxe, boost means fast travel.

Also, and to me this is huge, the Vigilante rams traffic like nothing else. It sends insurgents flying.

The only reason really to get the deluxo over the vigi is if you hate driving in this game. I have both and havent bothered driving my deluxo in probly a month. The vigi i drive regularly.

Is it really that strong? Never considered getting one before but this may be a good reason to invest, would be so cool to ram heavy NPC cars using the boost!

It can ram cars like nothing, especially with that speed, for sure! On top of that, you can do this:

If you have an Oppressor, you're still going to be using it most of the time. So get the one that looks like it's the most fun to you. I recommend the Vigilante. It is SO much fun. Dude.

Bloody- totally serious how this thing rams. Drive down the wrong way on the highway and boost between hitting cars, quite fun. You send cars FLYING and they will barely slow you down. Only the heaviest of heavy, like a dump truck, will give you pause.

The vigilante is one of my favorite cars, if not thee, simply because it lets me get back at the npc drivers who enjoy doing crazy sh*t to slow me down. In the Vigilante I look forward to npcs crossing three lanes to hit me.

Vigilante for the ramming. Fun as hell. Hover is cool in the Deluxo but it flies poorly.

Anyone know if/when the Vigilante was last on sale?

In terms of what's the better car, the Deluxo is.

People fail to mention the Vigilante handles like a goddamn tree

Deluxo is an all around more efficient vehicle. The Vigilante is a great car to f*ck around with. Only advantage the Vigilante has over the Deluxo in terms of efficiency is that it can be used in heists.

Since you already have the Oppressor, I would skip the Deluxo and focus on a road vehicle. Looking at your original post that would mainly leave you with 2 options: the Vigilante and the Stromberg (yes, I know the Deluxo can also drive as a regular car).

I guess it comes down to preference then. The Vigilante has a turbo that can be used to ram cars and can be used in heists. Probably also looks the coolest. It is quite expensive though and missiles need to be added in the MOC or Avenger which makes it even more expensive.

The Stromberg seems to have nice traction, can go underwater (e.g. to hide from the cops) and is the only vehicle of the three that can survive explosive damage from missiles. Fully upgraded and with a driver inside it can survive 1 RPG missile or 5 Homing Launcher missiles or 4 Heavy Sniper Explosive Ammo shots. It is the cheapest of the three and all the weapons on it (missiles, torpedoes and machine guns) are present after buying it (so no weapon upgrades needed). The front machine guns on it are actually pretty good unlike all other vehicles that come with front machine guns.

Maybe these videos will help you out:

The Stromberg should be a strong competitor here due to the explosive resistance.

Deluxo is the best. I suggest you go with Deluxo. Pro it's the best, con can't use during setups. Vigilante, pro it is effective at ramming the sh*t out of things and fast, con limited missiles. Stromberg, pro can go in water. Con can't use during setups.

I have both and if I could only keep one, I'd take the Vigilante. It saves time by making setups and missions easier. I only bought the Deluxo just to have it and have never used it, as if I'm going to fly around and blow stuff up with missiles, I'm going to use the Akula.

That being said, they look GREAT beside each other.

This is good,I usually like cars with hard handling, driving them is actually fun. Mamba,Viseris and old Comet comes to mind,I love to drive these vehicles.

Yeah me too, it doesn't really drive like those cars though. The handling is extremely stiff. Driving it is like carrying around a really long peice of lumber or something. Car on a stick.

It handles like a dragster. Bloody fast in a straight line for obvious reasons, but doesn't believe in corners.

This is good,I usually like cars with hard handling, driving them is actually fun. Mamba,Viseris and old Comet comes to mind,I love to drive these vehicles. If u get the Vigilante, practice hitting the e brake on hard corners and as soon as the car is aimed down the next road, hit the boost and powerslide through the corner. It looks pretty damn slick once you get used to it.

Also, a tactic that has served me well against other weaponized vehicles that fly- example, an oppressor is nearby and will be attacking. Aim toward them somewhere with a long stretch of road in front of you. When you get the lock on fire your rocket and then boost under them. The vigilante missiles are A+ and will catch their target, their missiles won't be able to make the hard turn and will hit the ground where you used to be. This has only failed me once out of maybe 20 tries.

In missions, the Vigilante is invulnerable to it's own missiles and the explosions caused by them. Example, on Rooftop Rumble you can drive right in and start spamming missiles, many cars exploding and some missiles hitting right in front of you, no damage. I enjoy firing a missile and boosting into my enemy so I hit at the same time, sending a fireball up into the sky.

That said, the Vigilante is very susceptible to it's own missiles when in freeroam. The missiles fire from very low on the front, so unless you have a lock on, you can easily cause an explosion right in front of you and wind up with a 20k bill.

If you get vigilante, in freeroam don't fire without a lock or extra caution.

Thought to add- the Vigilante having missile means there is potential in missions to destroy the objective. Use it's weight to negate this. Examples, on turbine carbine you can use the Vigilantes boost to ram the van to safety in one hit, then turn around and decimate them safely. On rooftop rumble you can simply drive in front of the enemy with the package and guide them to the wall. The vigilante is immovable and you can simply get out and shotgun them.

The Vigilante. This car is very fast and very funny to drive. Of course you can fly with the Deluxo, but Vigilante is better.
