So we now know that 2 of those games were Mafia 3 and Red Dead 2 and the next one is probably borderlands 3?? You think we will get a new Max Payne game or? If there was anything else by Rockstar specifically that was under development, it's probably taken a backseat by this point. Hmmm nice bike Posted March 8, 2018 Share Posted March 8, 2018 If they do return to the Max Payne series, a prequel would probably be the best bet for a game, probably something set before Max Payne 1 and involving some of Max's earlier detective work, or maybe a spinoff about Mona Sax. As much as I loved the series, I'm pretty sure Max Payne 3 wrapped things up nicely for him (and given that he was meant to be in his early to mid 40s in 2012 and was already more worn out than before, he'd be too old for running around doing all the stuff he's done before without resembling Bruce Willis trying to act like he's still 30 in his movies), so I don't see any more sequels.
