Why I'm getting this weird graphic problem?

(3 years searching with no solution, not invisible or white or flickering textures, is another problem)

Hi guys, im new posting, but im in the modding of GTA about 7 years and always read and learn a lot about modding .

Please sorry my english, is not my native language (i can sound like a robot).

Well, i have this problem about 3 years and never cant find a solution, i tried a lot of installs and configuration without results.

I made a video to explain the problem better because i can't find another post about this

(sorry for the lag in the video, but i was connected to my pc with teamviewer).

The problem is more visible when i install hd textures and when i move near of the objects with problems.

It's happen just with some textures, not with all textures, specially trees textures (I use Behind Space of Realities textures for trees)

In the pictures and video it's happen in the trees and in some buildings (in the edge of windows)

or in the ground (in the edge of tiles), is like if the graphics or pixels shake or move inside the texture,

is like an antialiasing problem, or resolution problem or graphic card configuration and it is very annoying!!...

Must said I always have change of combination of colors to basic of windows (windows 7) when start the game.

In this pics i marked some of the textures with problems:

Look this buildings and trees in the video and you will understand better:

What i have:

Windows 7 ultimate 64bit

Nvidia 1070 GTX

What i tried:

GTA_SA.exe with compatibily with xp

GTA_SA.exe with compatibily with win 98

Disabling antialiasing in game

Disabling antialiasing in Nvidia panel control for GTA_SA

Enabling antialiasing in game

Enabling antialiasing in Nvidia panel control for GTA_SA

Game with mods

Game with no mods (clean install, the problem is visible but not so much)

Widescreen fix , 1920x1080

Game with 800x600 resolution

Game with ENB

Game without ENB

I'm sorry. I am not understanding what you are seeing that is the problem.

From what you are saying, it sounds like it could be any of the things you mentioned; alphas, aliasing, resolution.. anything. I can't see it. Alias setting can cause what people refer to as a 'stair case' effect, where diagonal lines look like little stairs instead of a smooth line. Apparently, you already know about alpha transparencies on edges.

Or perhaps you are referring to how 'light' is applied to the tree leaves when you change direction. That happens in many things, where it flashes on and off and can create an odd flickering effect, depending on which way you are facing.

If so, I don't know that it can be fixed. In SA, it would be difficult to render light on models perfectly at every angle, if possible at all.

You have beautiful trees, by the way. I am envious.

It looks like it's something to do with Mip Mapping, though I can't say for absolute sure. Try toggling your Mip Mapping setting and see if it resolves your issue. That's honestly all the help I can give, otherwise I'd put it down to how the game renders distant textures and textures that have high detail to them, which to my knowledge may not be fixable entirely.

Yes, sorry, was my first posts, and when i finisg and preview the first to post it, gtaforums never say me "Your post is posted" and the post isn't at any place, so i think it was not created.. Now i know this dont tell you your post are upload and visible. I will delete one.

Thanks for the tips, yes is something like you said.. .I think not too much to do about it. I just return to old copy modded with ENB 0.248 that add some good DOF and the problem is not so visible.

By the way the trees are Beyond Space of Realities.

Peace..

I tried some changes with mip mapping but nothings helps. But you right it must be something with the render of distant textures that have high detail...

Thanks for your help..

The mipmapping setting only applies to textures that have mipmaps which aren't a lot in vanilla SA.

Not to mention a LOT of older texture mods for San Andreas don't have mipmaps either, TXDWorkshop didn't have that function.

Why doesn't the game generate mipmaps upon starting if they have such a pronounced impact on the picture quality for cheap? They might not be as good as hand tuned ones, but better than nothing. Games older than this usually had mips not stored on disk and sometimes had an option for it.
