Unreleased screenshots of ancient development for old VCO/SOL-O mods

Here's some old screenshots, VCO and SOL-O were worked on for thousands of hours by the team and progressed very far, it's such a shame the mods were abandoned.

vco rc2+ and sol-o were abandoned years ago, they will very likely never be released.

 

SOL (by X-Seti) continues it's development.

A little side note, I have decided to continue the online side of SOL-O for VC only.. but since the original Online code was lost. I'm going to be starting over on this.

 

When the map is ready I will add the online side of things. Too many holes right now.

 

However there is a lack of interest in the project given the download count for this month and no posts on this forum for a long time. not counting Mex's thread it's a little disheartening. I would be happy to take on suggestions to what can bring back life to the project. the Rage version will continue once the map is done for VC, this will be ported to rage. however I am worried about online for Rage given Take2's?

Going with VC O would be a waste of time.Not neglecting the mod in anyway but with SA-Mp and MTA Held in SA and UG coming with all the 3 cities + some more in SA-MP.Wont VC O be a little too late.You can always go for a new idea.IF you are worried about T2 probs,why not convert in 3 cities in gta 4 with o support?

I agree in a way, It was a moment of madness on my part. I should really just finish the map and port it.

 

End of a chapter for SOL and move on.

Just to be clear, VC-O was abandoned.

 

If a multiplayer happened for any mod, it wouldn't use VCO code.

Because vice city is such an amazing game :D

And as of even today, there is not really an "amazing" multiplayer mod for it.

Those are the only pics I have from 1 pc, I probably have other ones on other PCs but I'm not even sure if the hard drives work from my other PCs lol.

 

And yup before I was VCO dev, I was a VCO beta tester.

I might have a look into that at some point. I've been busy with new hacks for VC/SA for SOL for the last 3 months. :)

 

However, there is openRW with growing interest in helping them code beyond GTAIII, adding support for VC and SA. with the ability to handle the payload SOL's maps demand.
