MexUK
Here's some old screenshots, VCO and SOL-O were worked on for thousands of hours by the team and progressed very far, it's such a shame the mods were abandoned. xNCx, dkluin and Wakka387
Grinch_
is this coming up anytime sooner or later or just a peak of something which wont come out at all?
MexUK
vco rc2+ and sol-o were abandoned years ago, they will very likely never be released. SOL (by X-Seti) continues it's development.
X-Seti
A little side note, I have decided to continue the online side of SOL-O for VC only.. but since the original Online code was lost. I'm going to be starting over on this. When the map is ready I will add the online side of things. Too many holes right now. However there is a lack of interest in the project given the download count for this month and no posts on this forum for a long time. not counting Mex's thread it's a little disheartening. I would be happy to take on suggestions to what can bring back life to the project. the Rage version will continue once the map is done for VC, this will be ported to rage. however I am worried about online for Rage given Take2's? . Going with VC O would be a waste of time. Not neglecting the mod in anyway but with SA-Mp and MTA Held in SA and UG coming with all the 3 cities + some more in SA-MP.Wont VC O be a little too late. You can always go for a new idea.IF you are worried about T2 probs, why not convert in 3 cities in gta 4 with o support? X-Seti
I agree in a way, It was a moment of madness on my part. I should really just finish the map and port it. End of a chapter for SOL and move on. .

Just to be clear, VC-O was abandoned. If a multiplayer happened for any mod, it wouldn't use VCO code.

Because vice city is such an amazing game And as of even today, there is not really an "amazing" multiplayer mod for it. On 6/20/2018 at 6:17 PM, xNCx said: Thinks for this post. Those are the only pics I have from 1 pc, I probably have other ones on other PCs but I'm not even sure if the hard drives work from my other PCs lol. And yup before I was VCO dev, I was a VCO beta tester.

X-Seti
I might have a look into that at some point. I've been busy with new hacks for VC/SA for SOL for the last 3 months. However, there is openRW with growing interest in helping them code beyond GTAIII, adding support for VC and SA. with the ability to handle the payload SOL's maps demand. Sorry for the offtopic, but what's the current progress on openRW? iKlipse
Sorry for the bump, but for old times sake... These were good days and I was glad to be part of it. Where has the past decade and a half gone? I raise my glass to Regex, Deceifer, X-Seti and Mex for putting in the hard work to creating the most progressive multiplayer mod ever made, which most honestly, was both far ahead and behind its time. Had it been made during the development of MTA:VC, VC:MP, SA:MP and MTA:SA, I believe it wouldve taken 1st place as the go to multiplayer for GTA back in the day. I spent hours upon hours with these fellas helping them test almost every little detail of the VC:O mod, as they constantly updated code on-the-go to improve its quality. It surpassed anything that any other developer had achieved. I was just a beta tester, created videos, user interface and made logo etc. But it was a pleasure just being a part of the team. Apart from the main development of the mod, Mex created a map editor for VC:O, aswell as a script converter for LUA, that enabled players to create maps in-game. I created two versions of a Vice City to show this, you can find it below. Unfortunately, I never kept the files or recorded any footage of my second version which included full islands and interiors for certain buildings throughout VC. Take it easy Mex, look forward to crossing paths again Edited September 5, 2019 by iKlipse
