After long work with a lot of texture, I decided to make my own tool to make it easier to create TXD files. This tool is very easy to use.

I mean hey good job, but at the same time isn't this essentially what Magic.TXD Builder is?

But... the more tools, the better?

Not 100%, the version from Magic.TXD just takes all images from a selected folder and puts them into txd file, once you have selected the input and output folders and pressed build, Magic.TXD gives you no more posibility to edit something. With my tool you can:

1. Select only the images you need.

2. Have images from different folders.

3. Check the images you have added and remoove any image, you think not belong into txd.

4. Rename textures (not worcking at the moment, a bugg in the GUI API).

5. Adding alpha mask to the image.

Please tell me you're only allowing alpha masks changing on uncompressed textures, otherwise you're doing what TXDWorkshop does and ruining the quality with each change. Also please tell me none of this is based on TXDWorkshop code.

There is no compressed textures, the tool has just 1 purpose, create txd files from some number of images. I am not using any TXDWorkshop code. I have noticed you have some problem with TXDWorkshop, but if I would have an acces to complete code of that tool, could fix it to worck properly, as the tool has no problems with really dificult things, but simple things are problematic for it.

The first beta is avaible here. Only first 3 features are implemented now, not shure if feature 4. will be avaible, because of mentioned reason.

I am also open for sugestions about features the tool should offer, but the abilities of the GUI APi a very limited, so no guaranty the features can be finaly included.

Upload this to github, I really want to see what kind of 'API' do you use.

feature that i suggest :

- Multiple Texture Compression (Don't know how to said it correctly)
So, you can select Multiple Texture and then Select what kind of Compression that you want use (DXT 1, DXT 2 .. etc)

so you dont have to do it one by one

it will be more efficient.

Edit :

It´s purpose is just to create fast a txd file from many images.

Ups, im sorry didnt see that.

Here some features I could implement to be aplids to selected image:

1. Zoom.

2. Set mask (tranpatrency) colour.

3. Find and replace colour.

But befor doing wanted to ask if that features can be usefull.

Have been looking for such software, keep it up!

Glad to hear, but have to mention, this tool can only create uncompressed textures and the only suported RW version is 3.6 PC.

What you mean by API? The only external API I am usimg is for the GUI. That GUI API also ofers some basic suport for worcking with images.

New beta is avaible here. But seting mask colour could cause problems, if the colour is not avaible in the selected image.

Have update the beta.

A little bump but would be totally awesome if the texture list would give a preview in it so I can look on many textures in one time.

So is this only for GTA SA or for the trilogy?

I kinda like the tool, but mainly because it loads lots of textures in a blink and is intuitive, simple.

But too simple, it has no option to switch RW version.

It´s not so much about RW version, as it´s more about DX version. Manhunt for example uses the same RW version as SA, but has diferent DX version. III, VC and Manhunt use DX8 while SA uses DX9. Implementing all that combination between RW version and DX version would be to much pain in the a.... I personaly never cared about VC and III modding, so adding suport for it would mean rewriting my code more or les from scratch.

And again, you are tallking about changing RW version, you can do this in RWanalyse, but this will not let your txd worck with VC or III.

But it would be handy to have it, why to argue instead of implementing this?

I really see no advantages, like I said, such txd file would be useless, it wouldn´t worck with any GTA version or Manhunt.

That's why, simply switch to MagicTXD.

Is OK, I never wanted to replace MagicTXD with my tool. If MagicTXD would add the few features from my tool, my tool wil become obsolete.

Have added an option for creating compressed textures, but wondering if the tool still can be useful.
