How in the flying ass-sack do you get into a boat at the dock like a normal human instead of having to jump in the water fully clothed?

Is there a way to just step into a boat from the dock? Otherwise you have to jump from the dock and pray that you land in the boat. every time I try to get in, M, F, or T will jump in the water for a swim, and then I have to swim and pull myself up into the boat. Can we just step in like a normal person? Is that possible?

Oh sh*t I remember that terror. Picture the angry hilarity of trying to take your wife for a romantic sailboat ride as Michael, and just walking onto the dock with her following, then hearing a splash and seeing her treading in the water with a completely straight face, fully clothed and makeupped for a nice night out, acting like it's completely normal to find yourself in water just because you were near it.
