Grand Theft Auto V - Premium Edition - Coming Soon™ to PS4 and Xbox One?

What if we are thinking of this the wrong way?

What if the date in March is the day the pre-sale starts for a summer Paid-DLC?

Besides upgrades textures and possibly 60 fps, what else could even come with a premium edition? When I think of the word premium, I think of the best experience possible. GTA Online still has plenty of life to it, and it's been extremely successful. It would not at all surprise me if this premium edition included something special.

It could be anything that R* so courageous enough to sell as premium.

Don't expect 4k and 60 FPS on consoles, not going to happen because of hardware. 4K or 60 FPS could be, but once again don't expect stable 60 fps in Online: 1080 with 6700k may experience some occasional drops in populated lobbies when a lot of sales going on, personal experience here. For 1080p 60 fps GTX 980 is more than enough for ultra settings on everything but grass, also personal experience here.

CaptainMarvel

Its clearly going to be a GTAO where realistic steak finally happens. ;)

Ill speculate this so called premium edition will be moreso for the single player enhancement, graphical and hopefully content wise, where they might include all DLC content and vehicles in story mode?

I cant see much more going on for GTAO though, maybe some exclusive clothes, guns or vehicles? Graphic upgrades. Maybe some exclusive home/office addition like a house pet.

Map expansion is a pipe dream, but would def buy if this was the case.

Anyone who thinks GTA 6 is ever going to come out is foolish.

Rockstar has a new cash cow, it's called micro-transactions.

I believe they will soon only have 2 games: GTA Online and RedDead Online and they will continue to add content to them both until they are no longer playable.

Anyone who thinks GTA 6 is not going to come out is foolish. :pp

Rockstar stopping GTA at V is like Nintendo stopping The Legend of Zelda at Ocarina of Time.

Back in its time, Ocarina of Time was GTA V in terms of sales and accolades. Yes, this was before console multiplayer and microtransactions were a thing, but can you imagine what would happen if that was really the last Zelda game? Nintendo knew they could do more with the franchise, and boy do they continue to deliver.

Going back to GTA, yes, I do think it would be silly if Rockstar stopped producing any more GTA games after V. While most players are engaged with the new content, there's only so much Rockstar could do on that one map, which feels so small now to many GTA veterans. Rockstar has plenty of ideas for the franchise that would warrant a new game. For instance, people have been clamoring for a Cops n Crooks mode or a map connecting all three main cities. Those are potential ideas for a future GTA game. Furthermore, the Xbox One and PS4 won't be the last video game consoles we'll see. Even more advanced video game consoles will come out, and Rockstar would be stupid not to capitalize on the new technology with one of its most successful franchises. The majority on here say that GTA 6 will not be coming soon, and I do agree. But I think it will come out eventually.

I'd go as far to say you even implied it in your last sentence. What happens when we reach the point where neither game is playable? Will that be it for GTA and RDR? :pp

I think Rockstar delayed gta6 because of weak consoles, that won't be able to process bigger and more detailed world. Even V has performance issues, when you drive fast or fly low. They've made a mistake releasing V on sh*tty past gen, so we have to deal with loading screens, walls that not render in distance and other bugs. The idea to sell two game copies to each player was good at the start, but since they figured that most profit comes from microtransactions, they want to make sure new world will be perfect and addictive to keep players as long as possible.

I think if they could get vi ready for before the next gen consoles, they would do. Selling the game twice is easy money.

After doing some research on premium edition for all games

I can fully agree this GTA V Premium edition is some kinda expansion every premium edition I searched up had expansions in it or it simply meant some kinda expansion.

I know people gonna doubt me and say its not happening but ya know how people are nowadays they like to doubt things

Im calling it now - Liberty City Map expansion in honor of the 10 year anniversary.

Edit- and they all cost around the same good lord I hope Im right.

Yes that is the norm. A few months after they cease updating a game or at the launch of the last DLC they release an "ultimate/game of the year/epic/definitive/premium/other sale word" editon which I have yet to see one that was not the game+all DLC packaged in.

So here is where this throws the traditional equation off. All updates are free. The only cost is shark cards and the executive starter pack.

So by the logic present it could be a bundled executive starter pack and/or shark card.

Other logic includes the next update being paid.

I'm open ended. If you go back to every post I made in this thread I've always stated my list of speculations, you've just quoted the one I started getting tired doing so.

I can actually provide a better argument against it being a executive/shark bundle. They would have released it during the Christmas holidays to milk it as much as possible.

Won't be very surprised.

They already tested how new heists will affect the community. They could now test the paid DLC and see how it will affect.

By soon, I meant within the next couple of years give or take (rest of 2018, 2019, 2020).

I'll try to be more careful with the word "soon". ;)

If it somehow paid dlc, which it probably isn't, its way too late if they expect people to buy it with how the macrotransactions dictate everything they do. Do to what they did to the series, I'm not buying any of there future games, as long as they have extra monetization bs in it on top of buying the game. They can't get all the money when they turn loyal fans off of the series. RDR 2 will have less sales do to people not buying it because of what they did to gta.

So we're down to:

1. 4k

2. Map expansion

3. Shark card bundle

4. Storymode dlc or online vehicles added.

5. Just a mistake by Amazon

Pretty sure neither Microsoft nor Sony would allow a 4K/Enhanced update to a currently supported game to be chargeable or require a new version of the game so down to just;

1. Map expansion

2. Shark card bundle/Criminal Enterprise Pack bundle

3. Storymode dlc or online vehicles added

4. Just a mistake by Amazon

Also adjusted 2 to include the possibility of the criminal enterprise pack.

Playing catch up but I doubt this premium edition if it happens will get any of my money as I really can't see what it could be other

than the combination of some shark card or the executive pack included with the game to give people a monetary start.

I guess I'll just wait to see what happens in March but unlikely I will be buying another copy of the game though that said my game disc

is starting to show some severe wear and tear these days...(it's never out of the machine).

Since day one people are asking for map expansions in GTA online and some story mode dlcs.

They never bothered with making these.

I don't think after five year, they suddenly release a premium version that contains map expansions / story mode additions.

Premium edition would be = Kinda improved textures + criminal starter pack.

I would be surprised if they bring more.

Hmmm nice bike

Rockstar boardroom, late 2017:

"The 10th anniversary of GTA IV is coming up? I got it! Let's re-release GTA V for the third time!"

"Brilliant idea, Sam!"

Sorry not reading the whole thread. Anybody else thinking this will be story DLC that finally adds all the online vehicles into story mode? Plus maybe a few tweeks. For example, obviously the guys have moved up in the world since they started this adventure, so now we can reassign them any personal vehicle we want.

Bye bye Tailgater, Michael gets a Windsor drop.

Buffalo S was nice, but Frank's new Tempesta fits in better in the Vinewood Hills.

Even no class Trevor would dump that Bodhi in a heartbeat for a Kamacho.

That would make me buy another copy anyway.

I made this exact speculation earlier lol. What an easy way to pump out more sales for the single player crowd hungry for DLC vehicles.

Im hoping for more and a map expansion but wouldnt be surprised if its much less.

Rockstar games comfirmed there is no such "premium edition" and it was a fake listing from someone needs Rockstar that isn't actually Rockstar games. It's retardedly easy to fake this
