[ PC & ANDROID ] GTA Unity Remake

Hi everyone !

I'm making an UNITY 3D Remake of GTA , with some different mechanics .

No playable build for the moment, but can I ask you some feedbacks please?

 

 

 

 

 

I working on population, I ll try to show you how it's look like soon .

It's kinda hard to say anything about this yet, I hope the most of what you showed is a momentary placeholder.

 

For what is there now though:

Camera seems to be very close to the player (over the shoulder view). Ideal would be to have it 3rd person with an over the shoulder view when aiming weapons (except scoped weapons of course).

 

Your vehicles looks like plastic.

 

What are the weird flares in the background supposed to be?

 

Roads (uphill) & buildings are very low poly and contrast with the rest (probably due to it still being W.I.P.).

 

Animations: That walking/Running animation is very ehhh... floaty? It looks more like gliding if anything, plain awkward to look at.

 

Looking forward to progress though. I definitely liked the artstyle for the loading screens however the straight gta IV/V screens in there look out of place (obviously).

Nice that you posted it in the modding section but I see more the term ''moddification'' at your thread very far away except if you would recreate the engine or its regular content of an gta titel.

But anyways, I wish you luck at making this!

I dunno, I mean surely it's a lot better than other GTA unity knockoffs they have out there. Question is though, is the OP taking it seriously or is it gonna be another sh*tty GTA unity knockoff?

Idk, I wouldn't mind helping out with models and stuff as long as you're taking it seriously. OP, do you have a steam or skype or discord or anything to contact you with to take this further? I tried to send you a PM but it wouldn't let me. Here's some of my stuff + assets from other projects of mine that went nowhere.

BTW please include both GTA San Andreas in this WIP u as u have said.

Hi !

Yeah we have a lot of work, render work specially .

It's an early prototype, so don't expect too much before the public release :)

 

We have a lot of texture problem with the vice city map but i ll try to make a video to show you the "map"

Mmm... What can I say? "Uuu, Reni, you're so bad, yaaa, it's true, mess with me and I kill you, I don't give a sh*t, I've been in porno!"
A lot of problems with VC map? No sh*t! There is absolutely NO problems with VC map. Especially with textures. 

But setting the right render - that is a porno. So, Ive been working with Unity, it takes me approx a half of a day to find and set the right render, which is much closer to original one. And try to use postprocessing, occlusion and other visual effects based on direct x. To be honest, the right visual perception is achieved mostly with postprocessing.
A little useful tip for you. Create normals with Unity built-in generator to every ingame model, in other way you really get a sh*t!  
It is necessary because KAM's script and other converters make models "as is".
